Do you think we should have fixtures against the likes of Dover, Ebbs Fleet and Eastleigh mid week or teams that on saturday would bring quite a few. Notts County, Stockport and Chesterfield spring to mind. Playing the latter will knock off 1000 fans f played mid week with approx. 20,000 quid lost.

For me Dover etc midweek and Stockport etc Saturdays.
Always disappointed when the fixtures come out that reasonably close team is away on a Tuesday night which i would deffo go to if a Saturday.
Good for Pools and other teams finances.

In EFL in a vast majority of time whoever you played midweek at home then the away fixture was also a midweek,

For me the nearer and easier to get to would be a Tuesday, while Dover, Eastleigh etc would be on a Saturday

If they could be arsed it wouldn't be difficult to semi-regionalise the division for mid-week matches.

There's 11 Northern/Midlands sides (including the Taffs in Wrexham) with none further south than Solihull Moors. Then there's 13 Southern sides with none further north than Boreham Wood.

Simple.

Makes most financial sense for the furthest trips to be midweek and the nearest ones on a weekend. Would mean more away fans on a weekend and not many travel midweek regardless of distance.

If that's the logic it's really bad news for part-time players needing time off work. No wonder it's on the way out in the NL.

It opposite financially for fans who do travel though, A midweek fixture at Dover/Eastleigh for example if travelling by train would add additional cost for hotel. For the club then it be cheaper , they could leave 10ish travel down with plenty time to get there and travel back straight after game. But whenever the fixture(s) are scheduled somebody will be upset/against it for some reason
