The new fella is in the England C team for their away game next Wednesday. Luke James is not!

His name is an anagram of kill pen bi, so I think I'll judge him on how he plays for us.

Must be at Bootham Crescent as there’s a delay completing the new stadium.
8,000 seater built and owned by York City Council for £44m. How do they manage that?

looks the part. Gets the ball out quick and can kick it to an outfield player.

I think the land where Bootham is must be worth a LOT for putting housing on. Where they're building the new one not so much.

Similar thing to Brentford.

But is Bootham Crescent owned by the Council? I can’t see there being that much profit from the housing on there.

Very good keeper as anyone who went to Braintree will say aswell as penalty save he kept Pools out almost single handed. He has a massive kick and usually passes to his own team and is a good shot stopper. Hignett seems to be getting the spine of the team right good keeper central defenders and centre forward and note the team is getting bigger.

If it isn't then the council are probably playing a role as guarantor or something.

I never cease to be amazed by how much land for housing goes for now. Housing has been at a premium for many years in York, and I can't see that decreasing. I imagine it will end up with a lot of high density (ie most profitable) flats for singles and couples.

Also a new build stadium can have all sort of function type stuff that can generate far more income than the football side. In the long term it could be a good investment by the council.

Shame like, as away days there won't be the same. Money talks though sadly.

Just had a look at the video & noticed the lad wearing what is,presumably, a training top from the new kit suppliers. Hopefully we might get an idea what the new kit is like before long ?

Last year towards the end of July they hosted a family fun day and revealed the kit then. I think it was quite a success so I imagine they will do something similar again this year.

I see that Braintree think they are due a fee for him. Don't know if its down to his age. No mention of a fee or tribunal on the Pools announcement.

I think we could offer to rebuild their website by way of compensation.
They will be entitled to compensation but it will surely be a minimal amount given he was only with them for one season and they got him for free.

And he was their 'former' goalkeeper.
