The fans have took over the clubs social media, they sacked staff today including manager Ben Clark after 9 years at the club by e Mail. The rumours are that the ‘owners’ if you can call them that have applied for relegation and are relocating the club. How can that be allowed?

When they say ‘relocating’, it could mean 200 miles down the M1.

Gateshead seem to have a figurehead chairman and some very dubious characters behind the scenes pulling the strings, but I'm struggling to understand what their motivation is? With every player leaving as a free agent, they don't appear to have any assets to go alongside their massive debts.

It does look like the only option for the Heed fans is establishing a phoenix club well down the non-league pyramid. Good luck to them.
