Tough 3rd game in charge for Hignett.

How many away games are we having at moment? Feels like this will be the 6th out of last 9 or something.

Happy with a nice draw here.

I’m in the sponsor stand with some Pompey fans. They’re also hoping for a Pools win. 2 nil. Last season at Eastleigh was great entertainment, just a shame we lost. Happier times ahead!

Message to the Mail journo.
Wake up n stop calling our players Stars.
They r not.
Right back to reality hope this result confirms that Higgy n Raj have to agree to release every player out of contract. They have to much of a losing mentality in there.dna.
Pay cut new contracts won't change that.

Anutha outstanding away turnout from the blue army.
Safe journey home everyone.

Thoroughly entertaining match for the neutrals. Nightmare defending from us. We really carved out the best chances in open play but paid a huge price for not starting the halves at the same time as Eastleigh. It was “Eastleigh, you willl got on my first whistle. Pools you will go on my second whistle.” Kabamba used to play for Pompey but was let go because he is still a lightweight and gets knocked off the ball. That was apparent today when he should have made it 3 each. I guess his run of goals is over. Lovely sunny day at a good ground. Shame we lost but after 4-3 last season, it is a fixture to see goals!

Accept that you are calling the game as you saw it, but just last week Kabamba bossed Wrexham's centre backs all game, something that even their manager commented on. From what I've seen of him in half a dozen or so games there's no way I would describe him as a "lightweight."

I can,t understand why with nothing to play for we don,t give Holohan at least 45 minutes to see what he,s like and Muir on 90 minutes. Whats the point?

My guess would be Hignett is wary of what happened in his first season as manager, when results tailed off really badly - 5 defeats out of the last 6 games. The idea this year is to finish strongly as a platform for next season - like Chesterfield are doing.

The other thing to ask is are Holohan and Muir showing enough in training? The manager was singing Bale's praises last week but has gone quiet on a couple of others.
