Luke Williams, we’re shelling out a nice wage on him and what’s he doing? Sitting in the stand with his thumb firmly up his arse?!

He’s about as much of a ghost as Lee bloody Bullock.

Ankle injury, tonsillitis and a a “few knocks”.... Christ alive what next, he can’t play cos he slipped in the shower and a shampoo bottle went up his arse?

We need to see him in the team in the next few weeks otherwise it’s a completely pointless signing and a waste of money.

Blimey I didn't realise you had inside info on his wage, his injuries and the future. Please ring Batsey and let him know.

He obviously can't play because of all the stuff up his arse. Thumbs, bottles of shampoo and probably more. Bound to be sore.

There’s a definite obsession with Luke Williams arse in the opening post which worries me

It’s one of the most ridiculous things about football supporters when they have a pop at an injured player.

This Luke Williams stuff is getting pathetic have a think about it.

Does anyone think he wants to be injured? Don’t you perhaps think the lad himself is probably massively frustrated and annoyed that recent seasons have been curtailed by a series of niggles and problems? It is his career, gets only gets one. With the talent he has he’d be probably playing Championship football but he isn’t he’s signed for us and people are ridiculing him before he’s kicked a ball. I can see why Bates has had a punt because with a bit of patience and a bit of luck we could have a player on our hands who should be nowhere near this level.

I think he just enjoys having his thumb up his arse.

This is exactly what I meant with my posting likening him to Luke George,if Williams is as good as we have been told a league club would have snapped him up. Graham Alexander at Salford who signed him for Scunthorpe was not interested. Is it just Pools faking a punt on a once good player who is now injury plagued will come good again as did Mick Smith when they signed him.

A bit of patience and a bit of luck sctatchinghead that's okay then. If he is crocked then I would rather another club had taken a punt on him. You should never sign a player who isn't fit when they sign. If he is 4 weeks away from fitness, why didn't we sign him in November and saved on wages?. The alarm bells were ringing when no one else snapped him up. At least Watson and Smith were fit to go as soon as they signed.

Totally agree, was a bit of a "hit and hope" buy IMO.

He was fit when he signed he had been training for a number of weeks with the club but then was ill and since got a knock on the ankle in training.

I’m not going again until Pools invest in a Crystal Ball.

They don't need a Crystal Ball, when they have me.

He had been training with the club for over 3 weeks with no injury concerns.

Just out of interest, does anyone know the terms of his contract? He could be a low basic salary with high appearance and performance based bonuses, for all we know.

Where’s the fun in that. It’s much easier to winge n assume he’s on loads of money, whilst blaming him for being injured. Luke he could have prevented tonsillitis, and ankle injuries.

Bates fault this for only doing 120 minutes of training.
