Does anyone think we will see the season out?

Or are we likely to go pop in February?

It's absolute agony, I just want it over with now.

I don’t think we’ll make the next home game.

I'm in America for the next home game, and am resigned to the fact I wont see another Hartlepool United game. Its the actual office and backroom staff I feel sorry for, as I cant see them getting paid in February. At least the players have the PFA to turn to.

That would be ironic. We went to Barrow expecting it to be our last ever game. The Barrow fans were excellent that day.

Barrow eh ! oh the irony , 1972 and all that, and the same venue Darlo played at when they thought they had played their last game as Darlington FC. I expect our visit to Barrow to look very similar to below.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6-YG_sRMYc

And even if a knight in shining armour was found , I reckon it will only be temporary and things will follow a similar pattern to as below. This is best case scenario for us.

". Following a succession of poor performances at the start of the 2011–12 season, Cooper and his assistant Richard Dryden were sacked by the club in October. A little more than two months later, Singh placed the club into administration for the third time in less than a decade. A number of players were released and allowed to join other clubs for nominal fees in January before interim manager Craig Liddle and the remaining playing staff had their contracts terminated by Darlington's administrator. Two days later, the club was spared from liquidation after a last-minute injection of funding by supporters' groups. Enough funds were raised for Darlington to complete the season, but relegation was confirmed with three matches remaining".

"On 3 May 2012, the club was taken over by DFC 1883 Ltd with the intention of moving into community ownership. Because it failed to agree a creditors voluntary agreement (CVA)and proposed to play at a ground without the required grading for the Northern Premier League,Darlington were relegated four divisions, to the Northern League Division One, on the recommendation of the Football Association.Martin Gray was appointed manager. An appeal was rejected, confirming that the club was to be treated as a new club and would not be able to play under the name Darlington F.C. The new owners opted to rename the new club Darlington 1883.

In February 2013, the club became 100% fan- and community-owned after the Darlington Football Club Community Interest Company (DFC CIC), representing around 800 members, had taken a 52% stake; the Supporters' Club held 15%, and individual fans held the remaining 33%] The new ownership were committed to paying off debts incurred under the previous owners; five months later, the club made a final payment on tax owed to HMRC."

An informative if depressing read Horden. Hats off to the guys and girls on the trust board who must have to think about this kind of thing every minute of the day and have years of it ahead.

Just got flights booked to see my Dad and out of habit made sure I could get to a home match. Ebbsfleet is looking very optimistic though isn't it? That's nearly March.

Gut feeling we will be able to see out our remaining games , but it will probably be a youth team you will be watching getting thrashed 6 -0
