All over Twitter that he has handed a transfer request in today.

It's obvious Tranmere are interested in him, Harrison said as much today, and at the end of the day it's closer to Manchester than Hartlepool so it wouldn't massively surprise me if he was interested in them.

If we're serious about promotion though we shouldn't to selling a potentially prolific striker to a rival.

Totally inevitable on dropping out of the Football League that you'll see a high turnover of players. If they want him and wants to go I'd try for cash+ Andy Cook who's from these parts and has a good goal scoring record.

To be fair it's that George Waring who we nearly signed but he chose Carlisle instead, he looked awful when he came on up here! Hardly the same type of striker as Podge either he's a big lump.

I'd recommend he scores back to back hat tricks on the opening two games of the season, then he'll get offers for his services.
