Evan taking into account the failures of Hignett and Jones the team is still full of average or poor players so whilst I am keeping everything crossed it is more in hope than anything else. Don't forget after forty odd games the league table doesn't lie.

Very tense, 0-0 with five minutes to go. News comes through that Newport are losing at Carlisle. Massive roar from the massed ranks of Poolies inspires the players, Nathan Thomas slaloms through their defence and smashes a shot into the top corner. Everybody goes mad, I invade the pitch and attempt a cartwheel. Damage my back in the process and then get beaten senseless by several aggressive coppers but hear the final whistle as I'm stretchered away and am happy.

Can everyone get a bit sensible about overtaking Cheltenham! They need a single point for safety and their form recently isn't too shabby. In the last month, Apart from the Blackpool game they have beaten Grimsby and took points off Wycombe and Crawley. We on the other hand have been beaten by everyone including a 4-0 defeat to Sacred Heart Primary school girls team.

They need a single point from two games, realistically we probably need four or six.

hoping for something better but why would the same players suddenly transform into world beaters after such a shit seaon,they didnt do it for hignett or jones so why for master bates? hope im wrong might have a win double on newport and cheltenham and pray that my bet goes down

If they suddenly won the two matches and are praised as saviours, why couldn't they do it before? There's been several changes of manager who gave up or were incapable of motivating them.
I see no prospect of a sudden resurgence now and tired of these deathbed recoveries, the club needs stability from top to bottom. Clean sweep time.

Not a happy hunting ground for us, nothing unusual there. Usually a couple of opposition players worry me, but no one in their team who should give us cause for concern, except possibly Pell in midfield. If my memory serves me well, I'm sure I remember thinking back in November that they were worst team I had seen at Vic up until that point and possibly since, so every chance of pulling something off today.
