I really don't fancy us tomorrow, Hignett has alluded to players starting that farce in front of a empty ground the other night not doing enough change his mind. That can only mean Paynter who was the only one in contention to start from that eleven in a League game. He made excuses for Donnelly and young James Martin. So that means to mean we're going with the successful format that has worked so well in home games this season.

So keeping that in mind 2-0 Pools.

I think we owe them the run of the park after they kept us up in such a spectacular fashion 2 years ago.

4-0 win, Paynter, 3000

Home banker.

Don't know why we're even bothering playing. May as well just give us the 3 points now and save Cheltenham the journey.

Someone is due a hiding, we're missing our best player, shit weather, soft southerners, jetlag, won't fancy it.

6-0 Pools, Paynter and Laurent hat tricks

They're unbeaten in 9 I think, are big, powerful and fast.

We aren't and don't have Thomas.

We'll take the lead then lose 3-1 ultimately.

Agree - we take the lead but then concede 3.

And we are so overdue a sending off - possibly Hawkins but more likely Toto.

Poor crowd and cold pies.

Or, Hignett goes with a new formation and Billy, Almond and Alessandro tear the Cheltenham defence apart - 4 nowt!

Must be the closest League in Europe out division. Get in Pools well done and well chuffed for Hignett and the players to take some of the pressure off from the cranks. We have pretty much matched every team in every game this season and for me are not far off becoming a decent team in transition.

Was a strange game, the first half we looked poor, plenty of possession but nothing behind it. Then Toto went renegade, decided to stay up front for a few minutes and made an absolute nuisance of himself, great finish from Alessandra. Second half we were totally in control, quality cross from Alessandra for the goal. Thought Hawkins had a great game, as did both Bates and Nsiala. Laurent looked well off the pace but can forgive that in a 2-0 win. Actually happy after a home game for once. Even thought the referee gave us a bit more than he should have, been a while since that has happened!

We started the game really well, the best opening 15 minutes at home all season much better tempo and on the front foot without it coming to much they can't more into as the half went on but we finished strongly. Second half we played some really good stuff at times and could have scored more. Best performers for me were Bates and Amond. Deverdics is looking like a decent player in recent weeks, Toto had a good game. I thought Laurent was off the pace for the first hour and Hawkins struggled to get into it even he put in a good shift. Allessandra was also good.

I had a five pound treble on three aways Doncaster, Walsall and Scunny. Checked out for £100 with 6 minutes of normal time left in our game forgetting we had ended the first half late with Carsons injury was gutted when I realised they were probably all in injury time thankfully MK Dons equalised about 30 seconds later against Walsall.

Oh and January transfer rumour, not involved in the squad at Fleetwood but watching Pools today, Michael Duckworth. With Magnay out for the season maybe it adds up? You can never have enough right backs.

Good performance. Bates still a class act, Hawkins strolled through the game and a great shift from Amond. Was disappointed with Alessandra for first 25-30 minutes but then he stepped it up and rightly man of the match.

3 points and 8 places off playoffs and 3 points and 8 places off relegation.

Enjoyed it and I think having to play differently without Thomas in the team made us look better balanced.

Defence was very good and thought Allessandra was good and Deverdicks played his best football so far.

Bates don't half make a difference like when he's fit

Best home performance of the season by a country mile.
We created loads of chances but our finishing stopped it being 5 or 6.
Having said that over the moon with the 3 points.

Really enjoyed that today. Overplayed it a bit at times but a pretty solid win. Alessandra's opener was a peach!

I thought Alessandras shot went straight in, but after reading the BBC report and seeing it again, the ball comes off their centre half

Some of the one touch football in and around the box second half was a joy to watch.

Why do sections of our support get in a strop when we keep the ball? It's bizzare! Would they rather we just lumped it?

Of course they do. They think they are watching an extension of what happens on the rec.

They want defenders to launch it. The big bloke to win the headers and midfielders to run round like headless chickens flying into tackles like vinny jones.

I quite enjoy watching a Vinny Jones type tackle provided it's fair and not like a Roy Keanne or Nigel De Jong leg breaker.

The sitter Allesandra missed late on would have been a hell of a goal, superb football that with Deverdics particularly brilliant in the move.

Yes! The amount of times they kicked off because Donnelly chose to play it back rather than just launch it was incredible.

Possession football can be frustrating if the tempo is too slow. Yesterday for large sections of the match it was spot on.

A couple of wins on the trot and the confidence will flow, as will the goals.

Indeed. Some fucking idiot near me clearly has no understanding that from forward positions you sometimes need to go backwards before going forward again.

'we had the ball down here (pointing to about 10 yards outside their box) and now we're back in our own half, GO FORWARD!!'

Genius
