Seem to see loads of these recently, stuck behind a Focus on A19 for about 15 miles and his two brake lights and the LED one in the centre were on the whole way.

Cant figure out if wiring issues or are people so fucking lazy they are resting their foot against the brake pedal? sctatchinghead

Do you mean main beam? The amount of twats that use them these days never ceases to amaze me.

Better than people driving with no lights on though. And don't even notice when you flash them.

They do me head in an all. When I was behind the guy with the brake lights on, I was wondering how best to alert him to the fact but couldnt think of any obvious way to do it.

No, fog lights, the two stupidly bright ones at ground level that point slightly upwards. Nissan Jukes are the worst for it, they already have about 86 lights on the front but their owners still think it looks super cool to add 2 more.

High beam is another one like, especially when someone knows they have one headlight out so they stick high beam on to compensate for it... So in the dark they look like a really angry motorbike till you get close.

It's never foggy enough to need front fog lights anyway, they should be banned.

It was really foggy a week or so ago like, first time I've used fog lights.

They are good when driving down unlit roads as they make it easier to see the side of the road, especially country roads with a soft verge and not much traffic about.
i agree on the use on well lit roads, always carry a 6 pack of eggs to throw at their windscreen, the need for fog lights will be negated!

I find as the years add up I am becoming more and more intolerant of other road users. They are all fucking useless at driving. I think I'm gonna get stabbed soon. Can't help myself. Have to have my say when people do stupid things in their cars.

Lights on when it's raining. Why? muppets all of you.

Fog lights on when it's dark. Tits.

Fog lights left on when there is a car behind - ie, they know you are there, so stop blinding them with your bastard fog light. Turn it off when there is a car behind. It's pretty straight forward shit to be aware of other cars.

All those stupid fucking lights on the front of cars, like chuffin Christmas trees. Pointless.

My lights come on automatically.

Would have no idea how to turn them off.

If it's anything other than a brief sun shower then you definitely need lights on when it's raining. Especially as most cars on the the road are some tarmac hued shade of silver grey and become virtually invisible if it's pissing down.

That old chestnut.

No interest in finding out how to turn them off is more likely. Selfish Mr Yubep, selfish.

Either that or you are in fact female, which instantly makes you incapable of doing anything right in a car.

I bet you love kittens and knitting too.

Shameful.

That's right. I have that problem myself. I've nearly crashed into so many cars after they blend in with their surroundings.

I was very close to an epileptic fit when following a green car down a tree lined street.

I don't like the automatic lights thing it's bollocks, always switch it off. Up with keyless entry in terms of new features on cars just for the sake of it. One you end up with your lights coming on before you need them, and two you become complacent about them them always coming on if the switch is knocked or something people ending up driving up about with no lights on.

Well what do you know? Drove to Birmingham tonight, and a.cuunt in a Range Rover was right up my arse with his main beam on.

On the way home a twat in a hire van did the same.

And there was a bit of fog but didn't see any fog lights on.

It's all gone to shit in 2016.

Amber and sometimes red gamblers do my head in. There should be more plots or cameras on traffic lights. Most seem to think that amber means you can stop if you want to or get ready to stop. Then they must use the same philosophy when amber changes to red, stop if you want to but if you think you can speed across before the traffic from the other side of the junction gets there, then that's ok as well. AMBER MEANS STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I always thought it was illegal to drive with Foglights on in normal visibility?
Cars should be manufactured so that lights are permanently on, it would stop the twats driving round at dusk thinking because they can see you can see them.

That's a very unfair assumption. He might simply wear a bright orange jacket and have a miner's lamp fastened to his forehead, for greater visibility. But I agree we need him to expand on 'Try riding a bike'. That could mean anything.

No Lycra or daft cyclist stuff. The only cycling specific stuff I have are waterproof panniers and SPD shoes (that look like normal trainers) for days when I fancy a long ride. Anyways, it's quicker than driving in these parts, but you don't half become more aware of shit drivers.

It's not the indicators not working properly on BMW's it's the drivers. The accelerators seem to stick hard down on them too along with erratic steering.

To be fair to BMW drivers they all seem to have been replaced with divvy lasses driving a 1 series at 45mph wherever she goes.

BMW drivers moved over to Audi's, more LED lights on them to make them look MINT you see.

I rode a bike for years and the pleasure for me was just avoiding having to dress up and enjoying the ride..... Drove over to Morecambe for the match last year and driving from Middleton in Teesdale to Brough to avoid the A66 we hit a swarm of Lycroids in a massive pack obviously breaking some pain barrier and covering the road, they all had legs like walnuts in a condom and just seemed possessed. I couldn't imagine them pulling over to sit in the sun for a while or stop off at the next pub..... It all looked a bit masochistic to me.

I've noticed if you cycle to work at bigger companies and you're part of the office elite you get them there 'facilities' to encourage you to be green like drying facilities, showers etc etc.If you're one of the plebs you get ..... wet and stay wet.

Weird how cycling to work is something for the middle class now. Along with breastfeeding, drinking ale in pubs, and having an allotment.

They'll start eating panaccalti before too long.

Funny thing is once the aspirational ones take over a new activity they previously looked down on they have to package it, sanatise it and re invent it in their own image.
First there's the 'uniform' of gaudy Lycra. Anyone who doesn't embrace the new world order is classed as a bit odd. Did you know that if you ride a bike not wearing Lycra and matching accessories, the bike refuses to move from embarrassment. Load of bollocks of course.
As for the old panac..... As well as spuds, onions and corn dog they'll have celeb chefs throwing in all sorts of poncey shite till it tastes like it's been filtered through an incontinent tramps y fronts and marinaded in octopus urine. Hands Off!

Have you tried any of that homemade black pud with the big chunks of fat in?

Not keen myself, the pud itself is lovely but can`t get away with the fat chunks :puke-front:

Flaming telly chefs have taken away all the tasty cheap cuts of meat and introduced them to the middle classes, hence the increase in price of the likes of belly pork and beef shin etc. Next these lot will boycott cous cous, leaving it for the rank and file, and make something up like Quinoit or something.

I though all new cars had "daytime running" lights now. LEDs in some cars, unfortunately I've got a Kia Picanto and my daytime running lights are the front fogs. They're much dimmer than they would be if used for fog but I still look like a twat.

Fucking started already, just nipped out to drop my daughter off at the hairdressers and get my petrol for my trip to The Vic and what do I see? Every fucking car with lights on?!?

It's daylight you cocknoses.

Yes, it's raining but I have a pair of fucking eyes, as do you. If you can't see my moving car in anything other than bright sunshine then park your car and catch the fucking bus home because you are an accident waiting to happen.

Side lights on cars being driven by old codgers I will grudgingly accept but full lights at quarter past nine in the morning?

Muppets.

Might not even make the trip north now.

We're bound to get fucking battered.

Terrible day already. Might be best I sit at home today.

Completely changing the subject, I just heard a F1 commentator on Sky Sports News say 'I don't know what the French is for deja vu', nearly choked on my tea :)

He gets paid to talk. You might think he'd invest a bit of time in languages :)

We're gonna win now today.

Much happier.

I think I have bi-polar.

I bet you drive a Range Rover "Sport" [black, of course], have a high maintenance hairdo, wear a pashmina or whatever those wrap things are called, have a philandering husband who works "in Saudi" and phone the emergency services when you can't find Sainsburys. And park in disabled spaces despite having nine inch heels you cross-dressing bastard. So there!
