Will the new gates be operational? I didn't see any on the Millhouse side............

Will the pies be hot? They were luke warm at best today - but then, they've only had a couple of weeks to warm up.

Will we have centre backs who communicate with each other.............and a visible midfield?

Dear Mr Left Foot

In answer to your query the answers are:-

There will not be any new gates operational, however the new swipe card machine will be in operation

The pies will not be hot, but again will look warm !

We will have centre backs who communicate with each other, unfortunately this will only be via What's App....ening.

The mid field will be visable if only due to the lack of personnel standing there.

Please do not hesitate to ask any other questions you may have with regard to next week's game.

Fucking farcical getting into the ground on the Cyril Knowles side again today, people queuing for 20 minutes. Ridiculous.

Good for you, obviously we weren't trying to get in the Cyril Knowles towards the Town End then.

It's not an issue because you were alright.

i had a pie in the town end today and it was like molten lava for about 15 minutes and impossible to eat until well into the game. So it seems the pies in there are compensating for the Luke warm one BHLF had

I didn't suggest everyone did I specifically said where the problem was outside of the ground, the same as it was for Colchester match. There's not much hope for this place when 'moderators' are lobbing daft insults about.

It's so simple for them to sort out as well, they have two people sat in a pointless ticket office barely ever serving anyone while the queue snakes past them towards Morrisons as people try to get in one turnstile. Just take one person out of her ticket office and put them on the other gate. It ridicluous that people with season tickets are turning up fifteen minutes before the match and in some cases with people sat around us and missing kick off when the crowd is 3,700! I dread to think what it will be like if we actually get a big crowd.

You should demand a refund if you end up missing the kick off as a season ticket holder.

There is no excuse.

2.55pm I walked straight up and got a ticket, zero hassle.

Got in the ground a bit early, think I'll leave it till 2.57 next week.

Obviously the other end towards the Rink End then.

I was in a pretty big queue at about twenty to, and like I said people who sit near us said it took nearly twenty minutes for them to get in, possibly exaggerated as a lot of people do in those circumstances but they just got in for kick off and said loads were still outside.

Why didn't you just walk to one near the rink end with no queue?

I will in future but I'd imagine people didn't realise it was quieter down that end unless they enjoy standing in queue. It's still ridiculous to have one turnstile for half of the stand.

It just basic common sense they have one of the turnstiles shut, just open it it has never been a problem when they are both open. I think the season card thing will be fine once it's up and running as long as we have the same number of gates to get in the ground.

I suggest you use the gate to get in like everyone else. Climbing over the wall at your advanced age could be dangerous.....although nah, carry on.
I never knew you had a lisp by the way.

I turned up at 2:50, with a ticket, and was in the ground at approximately 2:52, I'd bought a tray of chips by 2:54, and was ready for the start of the game at 2:56.

I've never turned up so late, it wasn't through choice.

3 - 1 Alessandra, Thomas, Paynter

3,866 (12 and a goat from Newport)

Pies will be cold on the Mill House - after long queues.

Pies will be awesome on the queue-less Cyril.

Mr Coxall will be wearing Burgundy Brogues.

Mr Hignett will be late, for obvious reasons.

I really will win the meat draw this week - or Ronnie will be going home minus offal.

We were superb there, easily deserved to win it. Had we not tired in the last 15/20 minutes we almost certainly would have.

Thomas was absolutely superb. He's going to be a special player that lad.

Special mention for Richards as well, looked suspect last week, but was very good today along with many others.

Top entertainment all round.

Great game that, every player ran themselves into the ground. Not quite sure what happened with the sending off as it was too far away.

Compton was his usual spineless self.

Thought we were superb considering. Annoying thing is I think we would have paggered them if Toto hadn't been a dick.

The way we managed the game was outstanding and thought there was only one team going to win it.

Superb performance really.

Agreeing with above about Richards, not a big fan of his but he didn't put a foot wrong.

Shame we couldn't sneak a winner

2nd half was probably one of the best performances by a pools side in a very long time, I think with 11 on the pitch for the whole game we'd have given them a real good battering, Thomas was exceptional and many others weren't far behind him.

Difficult to assess where we are as a team really. We're definitely good going forward, there's a good work ethic and spirit and I think we've got a decent boss (although how the fuck he survived the appalling speeding scandal this week, god knows).

Defensively still very suspect and I'm not convinced Toto is consistent league quality. Hope to be proved wrong but I shit myself whenever the ball or a player goes near him.

Sometimes I don't know if we're going to batter someone or press the self-destruct. Today was an excellent performance with an element of both the former and latter. Think we'll be in for quite a bit of that this season.

On another note, Compton is being a bellend on twitter again.

Definite red for Nsiala, saw it perfectly and immediately said to the lad 'he's off'. Thought it was fookin' stupid but you don't think in the heat of the moment. I'm sure all he was thinking was the ball isn't going past me.

Feared the worst when they instantly equalised but we often perform better when it's a case of backs against the wall, roll your sleeves up and put a shift in.

They really weren't very good at all thankfully.

How good was Thomas' run where he skinned about four of 'em before having his trailing leg swept? And for the record, their lad should definitely have walked for that, fucking shocking and had he gone past him he was through.

Ref was an absolute twat and gave us fuck all. Paynter has got the square root of fuck all decision wise in the last two or three games. Sometimes he doesn't deserve anything but it just seems that once the ref decides not to give one, he doesn't give any.

Wouldn't like to hand out a man of the match. Thomas could have it for that run alone...almost, Richards could have it for running himself into the ground and not putting a foot wrong etc etc

What is it with Carroll? Just watch him in the next game - whenever he has possession everyone fucks off! He rarely has an easy forward ball he can play which, when he gives it away some may think he's shit. Not defending a shit pass, but he should have an option that doesn't involve dissecting their centre half and full back with a curled ball over the top with the outside of his boot whilst under pressure from their right winger and rigth sided central midfielder :)

Anyway, top performance from 10 men for 90 minutes. If we'd had 11 we'd probably have scored 11.

Will be interesting to see who plays at centre back next week! Possibly Bates and Jones out with Nsiala.

Took his goal really well though.

There was another defender and that's why he wasn't red carded. Unfortunately.

Good fighting display that deserved a win but under the circumstances a draw was good. Subs Donelly and Harrison slotted in well and Thomas denied twice by great goalkeeping. Keep this up with 11 men and we will soon pick up.

I agree it wasn't a red, but it was really frustrating he only got one yellow. Everyone the ball went near him he seemed to either pull someone to the ground or trip them.

Whilst I am pleased with the result all things considered, and the performance of the lads, I think Hignett's management of the game was poor. It's not the first time I've been unimpressed with his use of substitutions, last week his refusal to bring fresh legs into midfield meant that we completely lost the battle towards the end of the game.

I was amazed it took 56 minutes to get a new centre back on the field to replace Toto. Featherstone isn't a great tackler, hasn't got a great physical presence and tries to retain possession all the time. These things make him a pretty poor centre back. I think an actual centre back could have done more to stop Parkin's goal and there were other occasions they could have scored because Featherstone was out of position.

Then when Craig did eventually make some subs, he took all the strikers off. We were on top of the game, and we just withdrew our attacking presence. Again, both players looked knackered, but why not bring on a player that would threaten the centre backs?

I think we could have won today even though we were down to ten men, if Hignett made more use of his substitutions.

He probably waited that long to make a change as he didn't want to waste subs, he had Harrison ready to come on but waited to see how we'd cope without making a change, he knew we'd need fresh legs later in the game so held out, an absolutely spot on decision in my eyes and great game management.
