I was expecting to open this to read he'd died to be honest. He's a tortured soul I almost think he'd be better out of his misery, he's beyond help sadly.

agree with PJ. I dont even read about Gazza any more with any hope for the guy.

It's very very sad, the man has an illness, anyone who doesnt understand that isnt worth listening too.

A prime example of when the fame and money have gone, so have the support. The roots of this go back a long way.

Not sure I agree with you here Snowy as many friends and family have tried to help but he has always relapsed.

May seem draconian but he should be taken into care under the 'insanity' act or whatever it is and given the treatment he needs until he is fully recovered. He is fortunate in that he can probably afford it or at least plenty will care enough to pay for it but others unlike him are simply left to die.

I think he's always been a daft lad and fame and fortune attract the camp followers who dump you when the money and fame run dry. Some can cope, some can't. Maybe he needed proper advice from the start but got the opposite.
In the end we're masters of our own destiny, but maybe our destiny is a bit more manageable.
