Anybody still watch it? I gave up long ago when it was Clarkson ad his cronies- about their egos not the cars.
I
Before Evans short lived try to copy the old format but make it even more shouty I had though of the two Martins , James and Guy , I see they are linked with it separately.

Gut Martin is fantastic no ego just full of enthusiasm and like a genuine fan in all he does- I reckon he could reinvent Top Gear and could see James Martin as co presenter

Guy Martin is very watchable but is he not mainly into bikes?

James Martin may be a bit busy playing for pools and washing his hands being a top chef.

James Martin not a bad shout. He is a Petrol Head, and left Saturday Kitchen when the BEEB told him he was better off there doing what he's good at, as opposed to Top Gear (which I think he'll be good at).

With Guy Martin, depends I suppose if he's contracted to C4.

Matt Le Blanc is contracted for 2 years so will stay (especially as the BBC make a fortune selling TG to the States).

Sabine Schmidt is a driving genius and a nutter.

Heres a novel idea. Go grovelling back to May, Hammond and Clarkson, and plead with them to revive it, or dump the fucker.

The previous regime was entirely satisfactory if you recorded it, cut out the super car 0-200 in 2 seconds and orgasms all round or the tedious celeb in a Korean family runabout. You could cut out all the crud and watch the daft bits later.
Works for me.

Only one problem Mr Colonel, Amazon is paying Clarkson et al a Gazzillion Pounds each per episode for their new series. (Allegedly)!

The "new" Top Gear didn't really lose viewers when you look at the true figures (catch up tv etc). Bear in mind some papers have been printing negative stories about fallouts, bullying etc since filming began, sells papers, clouds judgement before people have seen the show. Also guess who is a columnist for the main Top Gear Newspaper detractor?

PS the BBC makes Gazillions from selling Top Gear around the World, ergo British audience figures don't really matter!

So were the papers printing lies and all was sugar and sweetness ....?
