Yeah that was one of the shittest excuses for a player leaving Pools , went on to player for Dover in the National League and was a team mate with Deverdics . First choice at Dover anytime I saw him thought he looked decent but as second choice you are never gonna play many games.

I was reading an article about him after Dover released him and safe to say he wasn't overly happy. He said that last summer an SPL team made an offer for him which was turned down and said they wanted stupid money because he was going to be first choice, then right from the start of pre-season he was clearly back-up. So from potentially signing for a team in the SPL to released being from Dover in the space of 10 months.

To be fair Rafferty said he never once mentioned a career outside of football.
