So - another no news day on the OS site and another pic of Russ with his arms half-folded.

Hignett hasn't taken to twatter in over a week, he's not on the short-list of four being interviewed for the Blackburn job, so the non-story in today's Fail ("hand off Craig Hignett says Hartlepool United legend") is the stuff of close season desperation.

So where the feck is he???

I'm pretty sure he wasn't in Durham Market Square this lunchtime.

Any sightings in townsclubland?

Really? Not exactly showing loyalty to the cause then is he?

He could at least wait until the season starts like Bob Moncur did.

My thought too, but if that's the case why hasn't the club just said so?

All the chat from Hignett after the last game of the season was transfer targets lined up and deadlines set for players who'd been offered new deals.

Maybe "But first I'm going off on me hols" doesn't sit well with the man in a hurry image he's cultivating.

Having a meal out with his wife and kids in Boro Saturday night, same restaurant as we were in.

What did he have? The big mac or a happy meal?
