He's actually starting to look like a really decent player isn't he?

He was dropped for Hignetts first game and he's only been manager for 6 games.

And; I think he looks a completely different player since the change of manager and since he was actually left out, he was shit all season for a bloke who seemed to pick him whatever, now he looks like player.

He started to improve at back end of Moores stint in my opinion and is going from strength to strength, Fleming will no doubt be making a big difference.

Has all the attributes to do well, pace, height, control and he gets into some great positions defensively, maybe not always a position where I think a left back should be but he does cover the ground.

This must be his first real season as a regular is it?

I don`t think Hignett can take the credit, he has been seeing a sports psyhcologist who has improved his mental awareness, i haven`t rated him at all, however credit where it is due, he has shown some desire and metal the last few games.

Wonder if the psychologist has a spot for Bingham, what a waste of a substitution banghead

Brad Walker must have done alright when he came on yesterday as Bingham seems to be the target for a needless slagging after a win.

That's quite a slur coming from you, it's like Tree with Hamster questioning your hygiene.

I think Ronnie set up Carroll for a fall from an early stage in pre-season saying things like he should be getting about 10 goals if he 'believes in himself', irrespective of that he is left back, scoring so many would be bloody unlikely and setting unrealistic expectations for the lad.

Id say he started playing better in the Derby game, he started playing a bit closer to the centre backs so he isn't so isolated and is a better position to support them in the middle like he did clearing it off the line. Also he hasn't exactly had great help from the man in front of him either for large parts of the season.
