Just to be on the safe side we should have them expelled from the League for inciting knife crime with their nickname. Sheff United could go as well and that would keep York as a reasonably near away match/day out.

...decent point actually, even though it was at home. No room for complacency on Saturday.

Why do I feel so confident about saturday sctatchinghead

I can see Stevenage, Newport and Morecambe all getting dragged in but pools are playing well and looking good. We'll be fine.

Yes and York at home to Barnet on Saturday - one they really need three points from. Balls in our court anyway...

Good too see a manager speak well of the team, instead of talking about our rivals (pompey etc) like they are real madrid.

Shockingly bad home record is what has put them bottom which suggests that they do badly when they set up to win. A draw on Saturday isn't worth much to them so hopefully we'll see the sort of approach they usually take at home.

More statistics - Points from last 6 games for the bottom 8:

Yeovil - 11 Points
Newport - 10 Points
Pools - 7 Points
Stevenage - 6 Points
D&R - 5 Points
Notts County - 4 Points
York City - 3 Points
Morecombe - 1 Point

Make of that what you will, and I know things change every week, but I agree with Chessington that Morcombe are definitely being dragged in as well as Notts County and Stevenage doing their selves no favours.

I fully agree with Hignett's philosophy to look up rather than down. I reckon we can clamber over 2 or 3 before the season is out...

Statistics are a record of past perfomance. All statistics in sport change and are no guide to future performance, in football they are governed by human factors, not mechanical actions. So there.

The D&R game will be an interesting test.

Going by recent seasons, it'd be no surprise if Pools struggled against the League's bottom team and kept up the good result/bad result sequence.

On the other hand, Pools' general play is improving and a decent home win is overdue.

I wouldn't be massively surprised though if we had to wait for the Wimbledon game for that.

One that we should be winning, however thanks to last weeks away win I don't think it will be a disaster if its a draw.
