Am I the only one who's a little bit unsatisfied with yesterday's game? Northampton were nothing special and like Higgy said, if there was one team who looked like they were top of the league it was us. There was a game to be won yesterday for sure and I thought had we made some substitutions earlier in the game we could have maybe nicked one. Having said that, prior to the game I would have snapped your hand off for a draw and especially a clean sheet. Tactics were spot on.

Agree with you to a certain extent but I still feel we look a bit reluctant to "pull the trigger" at times. Can't remember if it was 1st or 2nd half when Brad Walker had a real good chance to have a shot from the edge of the area & seemed to bottle it. Don't we do shooting practice ?

You should have legged it around to the dug out and said ...." Do excuse me Mr Hignett, I can see you're rather busy, but might I venture to suggest you consider the possbility of using your substitutes to enable us to win the game. I have given the subject some deep thought and feel cofident this would work to our mutual benefit........ what was that ...?
OK ... I'll F.R.O. bbolt

I can see why he didn't.

We had clearly worked hard all week on team shape and discipline when we didn't have the ball. They are on fire and if we'd have tried to open the game up by changing things I think it possibly would have suited them. The system worked they posed very little attacking threat and we looked the more likely winners for most of the game.

The subs he made were the right ones I'd say he possibly could have taken Thomas off ten minutes earlier as he was knackered but bringing a striker on would have meant subbing Paynter who was out best player in the day. I don't think Fenwick is capable of doing the job he did against two big centre halves I doubt he'd have got a sniff.
