that usually (as I know last season was a contradiction) to stay in this league you need to keep your points total slightly ahead of games played, but I'm afraid we're heading in the other direction if anything. 27 points from 29 games is a poor return and we've lost 10 games so far this season by the odd goal, of the 17 games left we need to find roughly another 7 wins to be safe.
Take a look at the remaining fixtures and see if you can find 7 in there, tbh it's hard. I've a bad feeling about this season, especially as recent form would have us winning only 3 of those left. We need to turn it around and fast

We must hold the record for conceding goals in the last few minutes of a game, it's happened numerous times this season.

It does seem that the team's performances are improving under Hignett if not the results. We've only lost by one goal under him so far and I'm quietly confident he can turn the team around. Recent form means feck all, especially when the majority of that form has been carried over from the previous manager.
I still believe its going to be tight but with 51 points to play for it's a bit early to throw the towel in!

Could work out the same as the last two seasons having to win our last home game to stay up.
Hopefully its all sorted before then.
With this free travel the Morecambe game will be more like a home game.

The goals against yesterday were awful and if we continue to concede like that we will be the creaters of our own downfall.

Teams don't need to do anything especially clever or creative to score against us, merely pump long balls over the top and we cant cope or put balls in from wide. What was Featherstone thinking for the free kick???? just take the ball into your face, bollocks or where ever but dont wince at it like a fucking tart. The long ball over the top by Luton has accounted for 4 goals is it against us this season??

This suicidal defending plus an inability to take chances at crucial times in games leads to only one outcome and it will be defeat.

Hignett can say as often as he likes that we'll win more games playing like that than we'll lose but the facts are we havent, and he's lost twice as many as he's won. With a bit more ruthlessness in front of goal and some tenacity in defence it could've so easily have been 2 wins and a draw. Making basic errors in front of either goal next week will result in defeat number 3 from 4 games and it's looking bleak.

I'm not having a pop at Hignett because he's inheritted the problems, but we have to turn performances into results and we can't afford to give teams piss easy goals and points cos we dont score enough to make up for the mistakes.

The games Chip has highlighted have got to be targetted as the ones to get maximum points from and just hope we can snatch a few sneaky points here and there. The last four games are just not looking too fruitful.
