Tried 2 last night which was surprising. Someone else possibly been involved with coaching this week? Can't believe Ronnie suddenly decided to do something different after all that time?

No wonder he got the boot if he came up with them.

Had a conversation with my brother in law, how shite are we at set pieces ? When was the last time we got a goal directly off a free kick? Our corners are not the best, throw ins to me have been crap since Ritchie left-say as you like he had a canny throw distance wise, we have never replaced Hughie the hammer that free kick against Luton is the stuff of legend.

I hope Higgy sorts this out immediatley- only Jordan Richards ever looks like having any chance of scoring. To me its not about signing a shit load of players or chucking money, bar getting Mirfin back on loan from Scunny and giving him a 2 year deal when the loan finishes its about utilising what we've got and playing players where we get the best from them, get the formation and set up the set plays etc. Higgy hopefully will put an arm round those who need it, kick the arses of those who need it and get the players hungry, I would guarantee he will get Fenwick scoring again staring on Saturday,
Feel at bit disappointed in Ronnie really but thats footy-I hope he thanks the fans etc cos we have been pretty patient with him .

Note to Higgy - Get somebody who can head a ball at the back post for set pieces please, that will be all as I know you will be busy :?

With Paynter and James and Fenwick I think we'll start hitting the net a bit more than we have done. I seem to remember Hignett getting good results.from coaching strikers when he was here previously.
