There is so much wrong with this... Especially when he says it is non-league strikers he is looking at! ( which in Theory I agree with - but what a gamble!)

For starters... No midfielder?? It has been obvious all season our midfield - lack of balance, creativity, goal-scoring threat etc.. Has been our biggest problem... We need help in there now!

I'm also concerned it looks like we may be adding 3-4 at most, which considering a) our position b) amount of games we have to squeeze in and c) the supposed increase in unexpected revenue ... Would have been the very least I would have expected!

We don't really need a midfielder unless we are getting rid of some. We already have Featherstone, Walker, Magnay, Woods, Gray, Hawkins and Nelson-Addy (Bates has played there this season also). Now not many of those are going to be good enough or seem to get a chance but it's hard to justify that its a main area for strengthening when we have that many squad members in those positions.

We have 7-8 players to fill those 2 or 3 central midfield positions if we aren't capable of it then we need to have a look what we are doing on the training pitch and why these players were recruited in the first place if they're not good enough.

Naismith and mandron gone back after loan spells so i fully expect us to bring in the usual two replacements by end of January. Hardly splashing the cash coxall said was available to get the players in we need.

We do sort of need one.

Scott Harrison started last game at right back and Duckworth seems very injury prone of late.

It also appears he's decided Carrol is shit so he might not have pickled onions for eyes after all!

We have Duckworth, Magnay and wasnt Richards due to play there the last postponed game? I agree Magnay should be in centre mid but I hardly think its a priority at the moment when as you say he seems to think Harrison can do a job there too.

Slightly worrying that the worst midfield in the country is deemed acceptable though. Wont win many games getting over run in midfield every week.

I'd agree with that completely a commanding central midfielder would have been the top priority for me.

A left back is needed, Carroll seems to be getting worse.
