...be an acceptable result tonight?, a replay generating some more cash/publicity, an opportunity to see who the winners will play in the 3rd round?
On the media side there can't be a team outside the Prem' who get in the news as much as we do, what with Great Escapes, defeat to Blyth Spartans, Hartley-Poole, Smurf/Penguins et al', Ched Evans, Salford, to mention but a few.

For all the hype around Salford, they are a Northern League outfit and our "professional" players should do a "professional" job on them.

After the game I might be relieved we got away with a draw but from the outset we should be expecting to win. If we're accepting a draw then we may as well drop out of the league now.

Make no mistake this is going to be a hard match how ever the way i see it if ronnie goes 451 i would say we should win 3.1 how ever if he foes 442 a draw would be a good result.
We shall see so much is riding on this game

Expecting us to get thru to round 3.
If it takes a replay then so be it.
A defeat would be kiss goodbye to any reinvestment in January.

It would be decent enough, it's a tricky tie but we should back ourselves to win as a third round tie is potentially more lucrative than any replay. We'd get nearly £30,000 for a start for winning.

Last Saturday was about the best we've played this season, keep the performance at that level and we'll be alright.

I'm sure we were around 4/1 to beat Oxford on Saturday. Salford are 11/5 to beat us tonight.. The bookies think there is a bigger gulf in class between us and a team in the same league than there is between us and a team 4(?) divisions below us.

Ridiculous..

I'd be content with a draw, it's the type of game we'd usually get turned over in and so surely a draw is a decent result. They're bound to raise their game for the potential of toppling mighty Hartlepool of league 2......

That said, I fancy a win. 2 nil with mandron and Bingham to score

No ideal, but if we have to go through by replay then so be it. So long as we get through the tie.
