Got some Supporters Trust leaflets to be distributed before tomorrows game, and could do with a few extra bodies to help handing them out from 2pm until about 5-10 minutes before kick off

Meeting at Millhouse just before 2. Myself , Parmo, and one or 2 others will be in attendance for anyone who can lend a hand.

I will be there with an assistant, he is on crutches though, can we have Millhouse side so the gimp don`t have to walk to far to his seat when they depleted?

On a windup in a private chat amongst mates which you went shouting about elsewhere is how I recall it.

No, the antagonist was the one who went blabbing and exaggerating for reasons we'll never know.

Would have been willing to help out with leaflet distribution today if I had any enthusiasm for the trust.
I went to the original meeting, expressed my interest, left my email address and have heard nothing at all since. (I don't do Facebook!)
So it seems that as usual you are comfortable with the same people calling the shots, is it because I am female and live out of town that you don't feel I have anything to offer??? Doesn't attending for 40 years, supporting the club in many ways mean anything.
Now I can't decide whether to be a member or not.
Ok rant over.

I fully support slackarris comments wholeheartedly , we attended the original meetings and would have signed to join from the start we too left email details ect and heard nothing as well. I would have thought the obvious thing was to involve females as to be not called sexist , by the way having seen the way things have gone i am not joining the trust

I'm not sure it's about being female.....think it's probably the site software isn't accessing the email list properly. I've not been to any meetings but I did sign up a while ago for updates. Haven't received any, but it's not possible to see my email address belongs to man or woman.

I have not had an email either. I have looked at the minutes when they have been released and have to say one of the main things I noticed was no women involved; especially when I saw a number of women go forward after the meeting where it was voted to create the trust offering to be involved.

Whether people like it or agree with it; some people are associating the trust with the Bunker. There are too many people have had arguments or disagreements with people on here and hold grudges not to be taken on to there belief in the Trust. Similarly what some people say on here, especially political comments are noted and alienate some from the trust.

I think some on here, particularly those taking a key role in the early stages of the trust need to be more aware of what they are saying on here because people are reading it and holding it against the trust. I heard some people saying the wouldn't join the trust while ever certain names are involved at the fore. Not saying this is right or wrong, simply an observation.

I did speak at the meeting and was as I said really enthusistic initially, as was my sister.
My keenness to be part of the process and support the Club is still there.

Just to clarify...I did get an email last night re the leafleting, but it came from Bunkeradmin, not the Trust Site. Have had nothing from the Trust Site since signing up for updates.

I find it quite strange the apathy of many fans when asked if they wanted a trust update, it wouldn`t hurt to read it or at least be polite!

That just sounds depressingly Hartlepool, change is the end of the world to some, anyone trying to start something is viewed as doing it for their own gain.

I don't have the time to be involved in the trust but will sign up eventually, but to those who are putting in the graft and taking the flack well done the miserable naysayers might just say thanks once the trust is needed.

You wouldn't believe some of the lies doing the rounds. According to somebody today, people representing The Trust were seen at Northampton, in collars and ties, enjoying full hospitality. Utter shite of course. Another attemp to derail hard work.

If people are so petty to associate the trust with a message board they dislike they need to grow up.

The fact grown adult men actually squabble about message boards is laughable. I've noticed though that you rarely see people moaning that the people on the other board are taking over, is there some jealousy that the bunker is a light hearted board?

The simple fact is that the Trust is truly democratic, one member one vote, and anyone who is a member can stand for election to the Board. It wont be a vehicle for the ego of one or two individuals.

And that for me is why some people have a problem with it. The people sniping seem to be the ones who get looked after week in week out. Who don't want to be seen as equal as they see themselves as super fans. Who are spitting there dummy out as this isn't all about them.

Considering there was a recruitment drive yesterday there wasent much organisation in the Corner Flag.
I was told to come back at a later date but after insisting that i wanted to become a member yesterday finally paid my £20 fee.

My only proof on joining was a makeshift RECEIPT on a bit of scrap paper.
No membership number or certificate of confirmation.

Anyway hope we still a league club when its eventually needed.

I got my leaflet from from whoever was handing them out out at the Millhouse end nearer the corner flag. Was handed out pleasantly enough and not sure why anyone feels the need to give any abuse to people handing out flyers. I don't understand why people joining the trust think its going against the club. When i join the trust I'm still going to support the club with season tickets, occasional shirts, drinks in the ground etc. It's not going to change the amount of support i give the club and it's owners.

People need to remember a trust is there to work with the owners and not against them and it's for the fans ran by the fans. Everyone has a say.

The certificates are still being prepared by bhuddist monks in America and will be sent out via vestel virgins once the ink, which has been drawn from vermicious squids in the dead sea, has dried, nothing has been spared to get you these and we expect them to be hung in 24 carat gold frames please on delivery!

As I said, it's probably something to do with the site software, rather than individual error. Chip has said he had problems getting its email system to work, but if it were set up properly, you wouldn't need to 'get it to work' at every message, it would just be automatic.

Don't know enough about it to be able to help much... but you probs just need to switch something on, thereby activating the email updates thing. Then whenever news is added to the site, a message is automatically sent to notify people. Pardon me if this is something you already know, but just saying.

See, lots of us don't use facebook.....rightly or wrongly.

You lot call us deluded but the fact is even when we had one of the richest men in the north east owning us we had a supporters trust. Saved us in the end. I can't believe so many people are negative about you lot. Look at us for an example. Proof of what supporters can and will do to save their club. And no I'm not joining cos I'm a loid but good luck and keep plugging away.
