had an impromptu chat with the Sleaford Mods frontman on Friday night as I bumped into him on a pre-gig stroll along Northumberland St. Newcastle prior to their gig at Northumbria S.U. Was very laid back, polite and approachable.
The volume of shows they are cramming in must be paying, as he looked very resplendent in new tan desert boots and an expensive overcoat.
The gig was top draw too

Not the first time I've heard of him doing that sort of thing, apparently he pops out of venues for a smoke fairly regularly. Seems to be a very nice bloke who is happy to talk to people rather than doing the big star routine.
