Anyone heard owt about them - staying/going?

Surely someone on here has a reliable 'sauce' who can shed a bit of light?

Austin's future looks like it's somewhere else after Magnay signing...

Personally I'd keep both Flinders and Franks. I know a fair few on here would disagree, especially with Franks, but I rate both of them. I'm well aware of the weaknesses they have but I still think, at this level, they're good enough.

I'd keep Austin as well but I think he'll struggle to get a game now Magnay has signed.

Bates can go for me. Error prone and I question his desire and commitment. Oh yes and I'm sure his wage could be better used elsewhere.

Flinders was never offered a contract.

Really? Oh.

That'll be the end of Flinders time at Pools then.

Bit gutted but I have faith in Sir Ron.

Austin must definitely be going then because that's his lift gone ;)

Out of the 4 mentioned players i would keep Franks that's it.
We need to remember for most of last season the table didn't lie and the Cup game against blythe made it an embarrassing season.
3 of the 4 mentioned players were probably amongst our top earners and supposedly our better players and in the end we got out of the shit with loan players so i believe get rid they were shit and probably will be again if we keep them

I dunno why they were even offered reduced terms.
All been shite for years.
Ronnie said when he first arrived part one was to keep us up then part two up to league one.

So far so good on the new signings.
Ronnies good at working to a budget me got total faith in the players hes brought in so far.
Like a few posters have said before give me these hungry young players before older has beens all day long!

The wages of all four can be put to better use. I'm quite happy to see each of them leave.

I got told from a very good source who works for the club that all 4 were offered contracts on reduced terms, for Austin it was apparently his 4th paycut and a one he couldn't afford, also got told that franks has a couple of league 1 teams after his signature, on top of this, parnaby has been invited to train with the club during pre season.

Interesting stuff. I would've thought they'd have some news for us by now though.

I'm assuming/hoping Parnaby is looking to get fit so he can get a game at Bishop Auckland...no disrespect to Bishop Auckland intended. If it's so he can prove his fitness and play for us, it would be a complete waste of a wage. Might play a handful of games at best before assuming his usual position. Right back on his settee.

Parnaby could sign on a pay as you play deal? He has quality when fit but as we know is far too often not even making the bench.

I didn't see much evidence of that quality last season on his 5 appearances, especially when he played right back at Northampton

Wasn't parnaby earning a ridiculous ammount anyway, one of the reasons he wouldn't accept a contract termination

If Paranaby was on anything other than a pay as you play deal, the CEO of Hartlepool United should be stripped of any awards he might have won and they should be awarded to whoever came second...oh wait!
