Best editor the Mail ever had, only Hartlepool bloke an all, I am led to believe.

Harry was ok, went to the old Tech and left there at 16 to join the mail as an apprentice printer. He graduated to a journalist and editor eventually without too much to back it up.

I suspect he may have thought he was more talented than he really was for a time and brought troubles upon himself as a consequence but beneath it all he was/is a decent bloke.

I have had a very successful career, I have a beautiful and intelligent wife who has a rewarding career, I have three grown up kids who are all doing well, I retired at 50, I have a fantastic home, three lovely dogs, a roomful of flash bikes to ride and always have good coffee to drink and beer in the fridge. Oh, and I have a cinema, sauna and gym in the house if I need to relax any more than I normally do.

So I ask you, why would I give a fuck about a bunch of low achievers who don't even have the courage to use their own names.

Re the JobCentre article. I was way ahead of the curve with that one.

Look at how people are treated now. Sanctions for being a few minutes late, kids having to work 30 hours a week for less than £2 an hour, people who've worked 30 years and more being denied benefits.

As for having axes to grind. Guilty as charged to that one. I have hundreds. I spend many hours unpaid campaigning against many of the evils in society.

I've spent my entire life campaigning for social justice. I lost my job because I refused to shut up and compromise my integrity.

If people want to slag me off for working tirelessly to try to create a fairer and more compassionate society, there's nothing I can do about that but it's an attitude I'm genuinely baffled by.

Knock me down seven times and I get up eight times. I always correct lies and I always defend my integrity.

FWIW the Greens will get my vote, but on sufferance as their support for Scottish Independance is misguided in my view. Pretty much spot on in every other regard but Nationalism, in any guise, blows.

I once interviewed harry as part of my uni course in about 2004, decent little hour together, enjoyed it.

Yes Nuclear gets subsidised. But its clean, cheap, safe and will craete 1000s of jobs. Tens of 1000's.
