If we can string a few results together and theres a sniff of a chance of staying up.
Then these ticket offers + money spent in the ground will result in about an extra 100k in revenue on top of the season ticket.

Russ green might be a twat but hes not fucken stupid.
Dont suppose the extra cash will go towards the team probly shared out between the owners.

Joe Mac, was it yourself who met with Russ Green? If so how did you organise that? Wonder how willing he would be to meet with fans at the current time.

It was, I somehow strung together an email after a few too many and got an invite to go down. It was just a casual conversation about past achievements with the club and how disappointed the club are with how that season was going but they have faith in John Hughes and they see him as a long term appointment (LOL) , gave me a bit of a tour of facilities, how the club make extra income and that the council are evil etc....

The silence continues from our dummy owners.

The last 40 years ive supported pools through good times n bad times mainly bad but ive always felt being part of the club as a supporter should.

Well that was until this season were i just feel like a pissed of customer.
Cheers ken Russ can u just do one once and for all so i can feel like a supporter of HUFC again the towns club.

As usual I'll be shelling out £3 (the price reduction didn't last long) for a programme on Saturday.

Chairman Hod tended to save his public pronouncements for us members of the PBE (Programme Buying Elite) so it'll be interesting to see if Harris or Green have got anything to say for themselves.

Not holding my breath for any real news about the progress of the takeover like.

Nothing confirmed enough to post details but I'm hearing that there will be an announcement tomorrow. It may not be entirely positive.

Well for once, well done to the FA!

Where does this leave Russ then? Surely he checked these guys out before hand??

to be fair all you need to do is turn the W in your initials upside down and it spells TMH.

You're clearly Peter Harris.

What I've heard is that the takeover was a complete and utter sham and all of the staff are now aware of this. These TMH dodgedots don't have a pot to piss in and certainly don't have the funds to takeover a football club. Hodcroft has agreed to fund the club until the end of the season, then if we've found nobody else 'that's all folks' Ronnie Moore doesn't even have a contract.

well if true that gives us less than 4 months to see if we can actually work together to form a fans owned club.

I doubt they can say anything on the record, this source wasn't!

I don't see the benefit of keeping this quiet, we have four months to save the club that information should be out there for everyone to be aware of. Whether that's alerting a new owner or giving the fans more time to put something together.

Ronnies said on poolsworld hes here till end of season presuming thats his short term contract
Whoever the new owners are going to be then surely the priority should be to get ronnie under contract for next season.

Could be time for the boxing promoter to save our club!

Whatever happens I reckon the time has come to sort out a supporters trust with a bit of a fighting fund that's there if the club or the fans ever need it.

Preferably we attract some proper new owners but a contingency plan needs to be put in place.

It's time to pull together.

I would definitely be willing to contribute. I think it needs someone well known to put their name forward for the trust however.
Not taking famous just someone known by the fans, even if they don't have the time themselves just being involved will help others believe in it.

Since Russ is down as a director of TMH and they ain't by all accounts allowed in the ground then I'm guessing Russ can't go in too?

Hindsight is a wonderful thing but this should have been set in motion last year when you were all worried about what was going on. The takeover shouldn't have changed anything.
Even if this boxing promoter shows up again you should still push on with a backup plan, who knows if he is suitable either? You don't want to get towards the end of the season and have no plan at all because if 4 months is all you have before IOR wash their hands of you then don't waste 3 of them months procrastinating.

I don't know anything - and don't often go in the Centenary lounge. The Victoria Lounge is my usual venue.

I only wish I did know something - being as concerned as anyone else about the lack of information coming out of the club.

10 minutes on Google or 5 minutes on The Bunker would have linked Harris to the blokes that left a trail of debt at Swindon, Port Vale and Hereford.

Having said that its only a rumour at present. I wouldn't believe anything till we get confirmation from Geoff N. He knows the bearded mystery investor personally having met him in The Centenary Lounge.

FFS Chip - They were being introduced to anyone who was in the lounge at the time. Shame you weren't there.

I can hear reverse gear being engaged by a few as I type, and its only a rumour.

And what do you mean by "sycophantic arse licking exactly. I was there as a customer buying and enjoying a pint.

They were taken round and introduced to those who were there. As it was only about 1pm there weren't many in.

You really are an absolute arsehole who thinks he knows it all. I can only assume that you are really loving all this.

Didn't Ken say something along the lines of better the devil you know? Something stinks, and it was evident from day one.

On another note, we need to stop waiting for Hobson to come along and save us. From what I understand there was nothing on the table, barely a smattering of interest.

The only people who are going to keep this club going are us, the fans. Hodcroft will leave with his 300k at the end of the season whether he sells it or not. We're on life support and nows not the time to sit and wait.

At Bishop Auckland 1883? I couldn't agree more. See above link, there's an organisation that works with the fans to setup such trusts. It doesn't necessarily have be part of the supporters club but it surely makes sense to use existing facilities. Keep membership of the trust separate from the supporters club membership.

Ramblings...LOL. I said from the outset these new blokes looked dodgy, and as you can see from the link I posted to the thread Jeff Stelling started, I also said I trusted Russ Green about as far as I could kick him i.e. not far. And that was the day after the "takeover" was announced.

There was a general wankfest going on across two message boards, and very few actually stood up and said " Woah, hang on, this Harris fella is clearly linked to some very iffy sorts- this needs to be properly looked into."

That remains my stance.

If that's rambling in your opinion fair enough, but as I've said before, there's some people on here gonna look pretty fucking dumb if these rumours are true.

Just before punches get thrown and noses get blown...

Is it time we the supporters of hartlepool United met up at some meeting and discussed the future of our club? I know this happened a while back and went tits up, but I think we need to pull together quickly and get some ideas on the table. It would be a starting point...
