I was watching a documentary about children of those killed in WW1 and I wondered how many were still alive. Basically those who had a direct relationship with the trenches in France.

A few click, click clicks later and I discover that there is a woman alive in America who's father fought in the American civil War. This is documented and provable. Basically when he was 70 odd he shacked up with a woman and had two kids. The American civil war was in the 1860's so it's a while back. Her father was born in 1847.
