Anyone remember him ?
Wasn't he done for armed robbery or something equally violent before he played football
He had no bother having a career, not saying any of this makes the Evans situation right, just interesting how social media and the advance of the internet has changed how things work.

My point isn't in favor of Evans, just a point that the internet has changed so much how everyone interacts and opinion consolidates, 20 years ago this wouldn't even be debated collectively until the next home game etc...

Yes we know the Internet has changed the world. Some for the better, some for the worst.

Yes, tore Nobbs a new arsehole on the wing, very good player, think they had Steve Castle playing for them as well

Chris Bart Williams in midfield but Otto was the stand out player

Jamie Lawrence did time for a similar crime to Otto. If memory serves me right Sunderland signed him from his prison team.

Would rather have a team of armed robbers than even consider signing a rapist.

Always had a hard man playing for them in the 80s/90s, remember Alan Little getting done by Sitton I think in 1985/

The defeat referred to on here, I had been walking on the Ridgeway on a glorious summers day and heard the result come through on my portable radio, gutted as we had made a good start to the season i seem to recall

isn't it so much for the better? 20 years ago it seems many atrocious acts went unnoticed, i'd say the ability to share info like this is only a good thing.

just a shame nobody seems willing to really press for prosecutions into child sex rape, murder and in some cases the subsequent cannibalism of their victims.. carried out by the "pillars" by the establishment, including MP's (mainly Tory ones), chiefs of staff at the armed forces, intelligence agencies, police forces, judicial system, the royal family and all of their off shoot associates

cos it has definitely 100% happened, but nobody wants to investigate it

only one or 2 MP's who are now either dead, or their files went missing,...

this is why nobody, anywhere, should vote...until this thing is resolved

cue loads of posts calling me a crank...blah blah blah...

but it is definitely a good thing that lots of people at least get to read what I just wrote and at least think about it

even though most will not believe it

You maybe right Parmo but any wider issue doesn't concern our club. This was about our club doing what it could to uphold its dignity, hence the scramble to get a statement out distancing itself from the player we were 'linked' with.

If Ronnie's first signing is an elderly, paedophile, cannibal Tory I won't support the club until he leaves.

I think it's generally much better, sharing of information is clearly a good thing, but there are some drawbacks to it all also in terms of how people react and respond to differing view points

People don't share information though do they, it just tends to slip out

I'd say people are much more accountable these days, as a direct result of the Internet and technology

It does tend to drive a holier than thou attitude though , plus everything seems to be black or white now, with no room for nuance
