I think its good news, Russ will probably be happier than anyone at his change of boss! Maybe he can be a bit more hands on and open now and actually do his job? Not be secretary and ticket office manager as well as dealing with all the other shit he's had to in the few years.

one thing that must change is that the MANAGER picks the players, retained lists and backroom staff like at any other normal football club. Any interference must now surely be a thing of the past!!!

If Hovercraft has gone, then this should be a thing of the past.

...mind, his Mam will have a lot of spare time now she no longer has to pick the team every week. confised

Agree - but apparently Cooper did have a free hand with the retained list and who cam in last season. That clearly didn't work.

He will be DELIGHTED.

We MUST bear in mind, the Club will need to work pretty fast as we don't have a Manager, a Coach or a Club Sec at present.

fair comment but it is understandable that supporters' collective dismay at the state of the club has caused everyone, including me, to become intolerant of anything or anyone working within the club for the past few months

Time to bury all hatchets and get stuck in together for this club - and that is because we ALL love Pools

we have different opinions but one thing that cannot be in any doubt is how much we want this club to succeed and be a part of that

and I want to take my son to Pools, in the FOOTBALL LEAGUE and be proud to be one of the many who will carry the banner of this football club into the future, and so he can bring his kids to Pools one day, so the future generations of Poolies can do this long after we have all gone

Mmmmmm why should I upset?

Well no more than the rest of you.

And if Green is selecting the new manager, will he be still ensuring the manager cant pick his own backroom team, just to protect his cronies? Beacuse thats what he has done recently.

It was only last night you all wanted him out. Queer fuckers on here.

I'm with Dibble. I believe Russ is part of the problem with or without hodcroft. Who else would work in those circumstances if there wasn't anything in it for him.

Of course he is part of the problem. Its just that some on here too deluded to see it.

Chip has already explained his part in the demise of Murray. He was disgraceful.

But hey, the teflon king is unstickable. And his son, and his sons mates.

Dont see why he should stay on either. In any other walk of life he would be fired. Would like to see new Chief Exec, Manager, and backroom staff tbh

Our demise had been over 4-5 years. Sam Collins has been here all that time.

And has been promoted to first team coach.

Its too daft to talk about. stpid

So poor old Paul Murray was a pawn in all of this then, especially seeing as Sam Collins has been kept on as coach. Shame for the bloke and his family. Be nice if Russ called him and explained it all properly

I wouldn't bother Jeff. There are still a small minority on here who think he just sits on his arse all day and does nothing. There opinions will never change - but under Hodcroft the guy never really stood a chance.

Murray wasnt in the inner circle. Collins is.

And according to JeffS it seems Green may have even more power.

Jesus wept. The fucking first team will be from dyke house next.

Some of you may know someone called Dibbles. I do not. I would love to meet him to tell him how far wide of the Mark he is. Russ Green should be praised not vilified. I criticised IOR publicly when they needed it - not in the first few years when they did well for us. Paul Murray was not upto it and was a mistake. Have you ever made a mistake Dibbles . Like most of your posts for example ? Drop the attitude - get behind the team and show you are a fan not a gobshite. And before you say it, no I don't see us often cos I live a million miles away but from 1963, they were and Keats will be my team . Beer ?

I think theres a degree of paranoia going on after the smoke and mirrors of IOR. Look, we were in a pool of quicksand and sinking fast. Now some of you want to question how clean the rope is.

The debt will have been written off.
Kens sold his shares and taken a few quid out of the job.
GM is not owner its general manager - an employee. It's not even been confirmed he's even involved although it seems likely.
All will out over the next month or so but lets at least give these lads a chance.

I've never owned a football club so won't even guess how it all works. All I know is some bloke has came in, said some good things and said he will spend money to keep us in the football league.

Dunno about all of you but I'm going with it, if he's lying then we're back to square one, if he's not then mint.

Aye Jeff made loads. But have never lied to people and sacked them.

And if you have studied the board you would know why I am anti Russ Green, and it has nowt to do with IOR.

And the names Dibble. There arent two of us. Only one very slim one.

This is how I see it, everyone trying to second guess who these people are and what their motives are is just a waste of time. Take them at face value for now and see what the results are. It'll all become clear over the next few weeks I imagine.

January is the key month of this season and will go a long way to deciding how I feel about the new owners.

Let's be careful, Moore has done nothing yet and let's see how much better than Murray, Cooper and sam he is with the same players until the window opens. The reality is we will never know whether Murray and Donachie would have been any good or not and I wish them well and hope they get back in to the game soon.

Good luck to Moore and the new owners and let's face it Oxford at home (with the cheap tickets and feel good factor) and Mansfield away who are struggling with a new inexperienced manager is a great couple of games for him!

The team news will be interesting for sure just after 2pm...

Trust but verify has to be the approach, as long as the council keep the ground we can't be in much worse a state than we were under IOR

You need to put an apostrophe in the Dibble's bit .. Remember Jeff benefited from a Grammar School Education unlike us Manor Lads... ;)
