...is Vance?

Is it short for something? Or is it meant to be 'Lance' or 'Vince' and the registrar spelt it wrong?

We need answers.

If it helps, Clint Mansell used to write songs for Pop Will Eat Itself under the name 'Vestan Pance.'

Maybe it came from that?

The Roger Miller? The ageing Cameroon striker who lit up the 1990 world cup?

I thought Vanessa Mae was multi-talented but that takes some beating.

That's 'im. Ms Grabec has gone looking for a song from George Cohen, the World Cup winning full back from Fulham in 1966. Maybe he made it onto Ossie's Gone All Trembly later in life.
