Anyone know anything about these lads?

Quote:
Teenage Hartlepool duo Tom Haigh and Martin Young have been offered professional contracts with the club.

The 17-year-old midfielders have impressed Pools boss Danny Wilson with their displays in the youth team and reserves this season.

Haigh, who captains the youth team, joined the club at Under-15 level but is currently on the sidelines with a broken leg.

Young joined the club in 2000 and has risen from the centre of excellence from Under-12 level.

Wilson told the club's website: "Both of them should be very proud of themselves as they have come through the ranks at the club extremely well.

"This is the first step into professional football and there is still plenty of work for them to do but I would like to wish them all the best for the future."

No, Rae was given a pro contract last year and he hasn't played for the youth team in the league this season. He has turned out occasionally in Durham Cup games which, though technically reserve games, have featured mainly youth team lineups this season. He has also been named in the Dallas Cup squad.

But most of his games this season have either been for the reserves (he is top scorer) or out on loan at local non-league sides.

thanks john heard his name mentioned a few times, obviously not quite ready for the 1st team but ive heard good reports about him
