Newport have had to sign 2 keepers on emergency loans owing to their own keepers being injured

That sort of news always give me a surge of excitement and then I remember that there is a good chance that we'll see a once in a lifetime performance from a spotty youth or some veteran rolling back the years for a final hurrah.

I hope they are shite but the thought of it worries me.

I think him, John Burridge and Peter Shilton are all living in a rusty camper van that is illegally parked near Crimdon Dene.

...Yes I've seen them, running around semi-naked in the dunes, and playing on a 'tarzy' in the dene.

Hopefully the knowledge that a win will push us, potentially, to 8th will provide added impetus to the charge tomorrow.

They've suffered some heavy defeats in the last 2 months and during January conceded 3 twice on the road and lost at home to rock bottom Northampton.

Whilst we haven't been as prolific as we'd have liked in front of goal I think I'll be disappointed with anything other than 3 points tomorrow.

I remember listening to the commentary on Radio Tees for the away game and the first half was like the Alamo - Newport kept bombing forward and Pools really struggled to contain them.

Does anyone know if they play like that away from home? I could fancy a goal feast tomorrow as long as Pools come out on top.

They outfought/outmuscled us down there, looking for revenge.
