Pools go to the place outside the play off zone

Incredibly tight division

Newport only picked up 2 points from their last 5 games as well, in the games they have managed to play

Fancy us strongly on Saturday if we can get on the front foot and take the lead

The only part of the league which appears to have broken away from the rest is the top 7 with 9 points currently separating us from Southend.

It will be hard work to claw that back in and our consistency in finding the net doesn't lend confidence that we'll be able to do it. Especially given some key players are likely to have gone back to their parent clubs before the season is out.

But you never know. As you say it's an incredibly tight division on the whole.

it's not inconceivable that Newport could find themselves only a handful of points above the relegation zone in a couple of weeks... incredible really
