sorry #6 but they are now on my "list"

On saturday at 6:50 I as driving along a narrow windy street in St Ives where there is a bus route (stupid that council has done this as really tight windy road). I was traveling on my side of the road round a little bend when a bus coming the other way decided to come through as well. I missed the front but due to him being to wide for the road his back end came over my side and destroyed the drives side of my car, broken wishbown, drive shaft and wheel hanging off. Drivers response "why didnt you move over?" I replied "sorry mate I was on my side of the road, just because your bigger doesnt mean you have right of way".

The residence round there are happy as they been campaining for the buses not to go down there since new bus route was in place, the buses cant drive down there round the bends on their side of the road. Great thing to happen before christmas but at least i took Gap insurance out when bought the car so hope its a right off then get full market value when I bought it, doubt it thought.

The car could do with washing like.

Maybe if it'd been clean he'd have seen you better and missed you.

Therefore the accident was your fault and not the bus driver.

60% of accidents involve dirty cars but 67%of cars are dirty. Proof that dirty cars are safer.

As usual you are fooking wrong. The bus driver was on the wrong side of the road, not driving defensively ,and not taking into account the type of road he was on, the on board CCTV will show it was the drivers fault. There is a pedal which puts the brake on all he had to do was use it until both drivers could negotiate their vehicles past safely. This is my driving style which is why I keep receiving my safe driving awards.

Glad you came on no6 as wanted to ask you something, the driver said he didnt have to give me his name is this correct? There was a bloke there from stagecoach within about 5 minutes as very close to the bus station he said he was manager of drivers so he took control, guess he told him to keep his mouth shut.

Anyway i got loads of photos of other buses on the same stretch of road all coming over to the other side where my car was. I couldnt believe his cheek saying I should have moved over.

What shocked me the most was about 5-6 passengers on his bus got off didnt ask if either of us was ok and just walked off to the bus station.

The driver is obliged to give you his name but the address of the depot rather than his private address. He should carry a form with him which he should give to the third party (you) with all the relevant info on it ie reg no of bus drivers name etc and he keeps a copy with your info on it. Make sure your insurance company asks for a copy of the CCTV from the bus which should make the claim a fairly straight forward one.

He didnt give me this form but wrote down all details eg reg number and bus number and the depot number etc.

He cant say he was damaged in the crash or shaken up as I saw him driving another bus about 10minutes later on the same route, he passed me about 5 times as I was sat there for about 3 hours like a chump waiting for the AA.
