Russ Green is a busy man, John Hughes told us that.

He's asked Maureen Smith to provide him a list of long serving stewards he can ask not to return for the pre season matches by cold three line 3am text.

That bloke who also collects trolleys in Asda with the expression of someone who is permanently lost is doomed.

Do you just spend your time looking for things that never happened to be offended by....?
Hodcroft and Green never climbed Everest to promote season ticket sales eithe, but I'm sure you'll raise the point sometime.

No way should they be climbing the Worlds tallest mountain while their are still staff to be coldly sacked, kittens that need drowning and local non league clubs to be shut down.

Where did I say I was offended? Did I not just ask two questions?

You appear to like highlighting negative non events, (teredo navalis comes to mind) .....to what purpose....? Why the thinly veiled negativity......?

Tree may have a point. Green had his mug all over the press when Hughes was appointed n you couldn't move for quotes from him gushing over his 'right man for the job'.

Even if Hodcroft/Green do come out with a statement, nobody will understand it. I'm still trying to work out Hodcrofts relegation cryptic message.

Purpose? Its a discussion board about Pools, I think its a relevant question and as Yubep i think points out, Green is usually all over the photos etc when a manager is appointed.

Would I class it as negative if neither had been seen/said much? Probably not, the less of them i see/hear of the better.

I just find it very strange, maybe Maureen appointed them?

It was clear to me: The season now only lasts one game and we lost ours.

Appointed Hodcroft and Green? Of course! It's all beginning to make sense now.

Well I hope they at least tell the players when next seasons one gamer is.

I think the league keep it secret until afterwards. You get a letter a couple of days after the match. The one to Pools said:

Dear Pools,

The match the other day against Oldham was your one gamer for this season so you are now offically fucked. You could have got away with any amount of other things- goal droughts, hardly any points before Christmas, numerous thrashings, a lack of pace and a completely immobile centre forward- but only if you won your one gamer. Of course you couldn't be arsed to make a proper effort what with the bus being late and players that couldn't be chewed so it serves you right.

Anyway it was high time you get sent back to the fourth division as you are only a little club.

Love and kisses,

The football league XXX

Correct. ... then he got slagged off for it later....... so he keeps a low profile and ....... his motives are still questioned.
Damned if he does, damned if he doesn't.

The truth is that Green has been let go, but Maureen hasn't phoned him yet. He's bound to be keeping his head down under the circumstances.

To be fair people were critical of Russ when Hughes was appointed because of all the garbish he spouted about Hughes being the number one choice. Russ being in the media now saying how he thinks Cooper will do well for the club would be expected. It is a bit strange that its not happened.
