They only from York back to the town and only valid until the 15th. I got some open day returns while ago and they didn't check my tickets coming back and I won't use before they run out. So if anyone planning on a day out in York soon and before the 15th they can have them to get back. Doesn't save you much but a saving is a saving.

Would have offered them lot earlier but just come back across them. So anyone want them ?

You do still have pay to get to York but as I said it saves you a few quid and if taking wife/partner its a few more quid.

As said FREE, I got my rail journeys back and they didn't check them so I got my money worth. Someone else can use them now to save a couple quid.

Do Grand Central ever check tickets ?

It seems absolutely bizarre that they are no casual with their ticket checking policy, for a company that openly invites people to pay on the train you'd think they'd be pretty strict.

What justification can the ticket conductors give for not checking them? Not like they do fck all else!
