'FAD MANNERS'

The world’s only out and out tribute to British ska legends

BAD MANNERS

The band is a ten piece ska machine who put on a show to remember - whatever the venue, performing a full 90 minute set of Bad Manners ska classics.

Being selected from the finest musicians on the UK ska circuit, the band performs the shows as 'exhibition events' between their other musical commitments...

The line up is one of the finest to be seen on one stage, with a larger than live, super confident front man as a young Buster Bloodvessell - in his prime!

The band's members have themselves worked in the actual Bad Manners line up in previous and recent years, and have a portfolio of experience and performances with some of the finest acts in the country, performing worldwide in front of capacity crowds.

Sporting a rhythm section from The Gangsters of Ska, SKA-BOOM! UK and Live Injection, a world renowned percussionist, a brass section with members of Bad Manners, The G Men, Big in the North East, The White Negroes, the band's portfolio is really second to none.....

Combine this with a super confident, talented and crazy front man - Mark Young as the legendary Buster Bloodvessell, and the line up is complete.

This is SKA Fad Manners at The Park Inn 28/12/2011

Ive been told they to do a very good job of it too,I know most of the guys in this band & they are good guys

Personally Id rather have my ears cut off than listen to Bad Manners,to me they were never anything more than a novelty act
I was talking to a musician on Friday who told me that Buster Bloodvessel was nothing more than an obnoxious bully.

Bad Manners were absolutely 100% shit, a low-point in UK music...can't believe that some of these lads (who are all great musicians) have sunk to this level. Music for thickets.

Bit of a sweeping statement there Mr C, you're in danger of opening up the whole " this is shit, my music is better" debate. Obviously a lot of people liked Bad Manners in the eighties, they sold a lot of records back then.

You're doing it again. Not everyone likes heavy metal or rock music, you obviously do. Personally I can't think of anything worse than some greasy, long haired, flare wearing, shower dodging hippy grabbing a microphone and incomprehensibly screeching down it at the top of his voice accompanied by his spliffed out clones tearing at a guitar or two, then having the front to call it music.

I assure you I don't like Heavy Metal or Rock music kind sir...nice of you to use that sweeping statement though.

I like music, all types of music, but sadly a fat, bald bully shouting "Lip Up Fatty" or doing the can-can whilst shouting "Gey-Up" doesn't fall into that category. Bad Manners were bilge, it's only an opinion.

Exactly the point I was trying to get over Mr C, sweeping statements that generalise are only one persons opinion and should be ignored.

So anyway, have you got another song from a local group lined up for Saturday?

Been to a couple of Bad Manners gigs and yes the music may leave a lot to be desired but great entertainment nonetheless.

By the way Elvis the matchday lottery numbers on the website are running behind again, no Preston results!

Can't be that shite Mr.Elvis....they've been going for coming up 36 years and still making new 'Fun' music!!!!

I don't believe you'd ever hear anyone whose been in the band over the years say that they were a 'serious' band....they are a 'party-good-time-entertaining' band....and very good at it aswell!!!! :coool:

"a low-point in UK music"....I'll take that as an over exageration considering shite that happened before them and the shite we have to put up with now!!!!

Plus they spent the most weeks in the British Charts in 1980 than any other band....apart from Madness!!!!
The charts must have been really shite in 1980!!!!

I'm gobsmacked an intelligent, music-loving chap like your good self puts up with cack like "Lip Up Fatty" and "Can Can" Neil, as you can tell I couldn't stand them or their piss-poor take on the Ska/Nutty Boys bandwagon! Each to their own I s'pose!

Plenty of good music in 1980..Costello at his peak, Squeeze at their best, XTC's finest album, The Clash "Sandinista", loads of well crafted stuff that lost out on chart placings to boiled beef and pissflaps like "Special Brew" and the cringe-worthy "Lorraine". Happy New Year!

Got the book and read it a few years ago Mr.Chip!!!! :coool:

I rate them as a fun entertaining band....the least talented by far....apart from The Bodysnatchers....out of the 2-Tone bands....but by far the best at entertaining a crowd!!!! :coool: :coool:

But it's still in the record books that they were 2nd with weeks on the charts in 1980....and I know there was a helluva' lot of very good bands in 1980....but it goes to show they had something that the record buying public liked!!!!
