I'm into Maximo Park, and though its just for musical reasons I'm also pleased to see north east bands come through instead of the usual areas.
As for Kaiser Chiefs I find them highly annoying, smug, not very original (though that doesnt stop me liking other bands) and not that good.

I hate the fake northern accent the guy from maximo park puts on, you'd think he was a broad Geordie from the back streets of Newcastle the way he sang, he's from sodding Billingham!

Enter Shikari - band of 07!

So who says Maximo Park are from Billingham?

I've never heard of them ( not true I have heard of them, but haven't HEARD them).

Anyway according to the fount of all knowledge that is Wikipedia, only the 'hand chopping' Paul Smith is from Billog

Snow Patrol..................i dislike Snow Patrol immensely

I hate the way the singer pronounces certain words

Theres a verse in the song 'Run' that goes, 'And I can barely look at you
But every single time I do
I know we'll make it anywhere
Away from here'

Why does he say the word 'here' like hyaaar????

What a tw@

i saw them (snowpatrol ) supporting grandaddy a couple of years ago in newcastle and thought they were fab. a few weeks later i saw them at bar 36 in sunderland playing to about 50 people and again thought they were excellent. so i bought their album and i really liked it.

about 8 months later they were headlining festivals and had sold about a billion records. i still quite like them, they are good at what they do. but i can see where john and mick are coming from.

they sometimes wear ties tho chip......
