An old mate

I got a call from an old mate of mine and we're off out for a pint later in the week. The one and only Mr Phil Stant. We shared a trench many a cold and wet night before Hereford United bought him out and he went off to score goals. (I get a mention in his book too!)

Shame he never played for Pools though.

Didnt he end up as player/manager somewhere?

He was briefly manager at Lincoln then Ilkeston Town. Now he works for the FL in a coaching role at Newark College.
