I have a theory about "the curse".

I reckon that often the manager that gets it has had a relatively easy run for the month - and so has more winnable games. This rarely happens two months in a row, so the following month things balance out, the form looks worse, and it's the curse.

Looking at our month, we've had some hard games and come through them smelling of roses - so no reason why it should affect us.

It would need a lot of checking back to prove whether this is the case, but I reckon I've got a grain of truth in my theory.....
