After the bus cuts in March, some people are going to find night matches out of the question if they rely on the bus to get there. Any ideas No 6 on how these cuts will affect things and what'll be left after March and after dark....?

Its OK. The bus service is going to run by Volunteers after March. Its part of the Big Society.

I know loads of people who will offer to do it, for nowt.

This is where the big society comes in............all you people with cars register with the club. Then anyone requiring a lift simply contacts one of you and bingo, a lift to the game is available.
Bloody simple innit. :coool:

If there's 4 of you living close together or can meet somewhere that's a cheaper option.

right after 6.30pm sunday to thursday all services will stop.
anyone on the headland seaton and throston will have no service
the 36 will still run so anyone along that route will have a 30 min service i am led to believe that there will be 2 services still coming into town from the collieries but i am unsure which ones.
on a fri and sat night there will be service 6 and 7 but no 4A 518 or service 1 and the same on a sunday.
basically the town will close down at 6.30 and the clubs pubs and bingo will suffer but the good news is now is the time to get your taxi badge

So basically, if you haven't got a car and you can't afford taxi's you're shafted after 6.30 ...

Buses are horrible places to be, as mentioned a taxi is cheaper (if 2-3 of you), its quicker and it drops you off were you want to go

Unbelievable. Er it may have not applied to you, you may have been lord Snooty for all I know and been driven round by mummy and daddy since birth, but some people have no alternative form of transport, access to lifts or the money to use taxi's all the time. I've got a car, no problem, but everyone doesn't dwell in the fantasy world you seem to inhabit. If in London I use the bus frequently, but no one there seems to have the problem you seem to have.

What about these little yellow buses which are going about town. Who are these run by? What sort of programme do they run?
I have an 8 seater sat there doing nowt, might be the time to make a little cash!!!

No, the Little Western buses, or something similar.
I've seen them round the town a few times and they are probably only half the size of a Stagecoach!

Leven Valley... used to be branded 'Hartlepools great little bus' or something similar, but it's a while since they ran in town.

I think your perception of the buses is out of date. If I'm having a few beers before and after the match I often use them and I think they fine. (Unless of course I make them horrible and hence I don't notice it  )
