I used to live in Pease Street. The REAL one, not that phoney imitation on Central Estate!
The bastads change the name to Lynnfield Road. It's now called Joicey Court or some other gay(TM) name.

the white brick buildings are class, used to live in one, and the new builds in the town are also white brick :sweet:

the pubs were all banned back in the day cos of the quaker thing,only hotels were allowed to serve booze, its only relatively recent that pubs have been permitted :shock: [thank fook! :laugh: ]

used to go filmores on the bank on friday nights back in the day

also played cricket there too, weird pitch

my first days work was done in Saltburn
i started work as an apprentice painter and desecrator on an old school that was turned into flats just along from the hotel near the footbridge which i think is long gone
spent a couple of years on that job all told
easy job for the winter apart from the travelling
in those days Muddleborough was a pain everything gridlocked at four thirty as ici let the workers loose
no fly over then just the old iron bridge or the transporter
they called them the good old days....
