Penalty 'feints' going to be banned.

"If players do feint at the end of their run-up and then score, they will have to take the kick again."

Of course its cheating have you ever seen Ronaldo take a kick he basically stops and then kicks it, I always thought it had to be one fluid motion.

Why does it and why should it?

Surely the advantage on a penalty should go to the attacking side as they've had a foul commited against them?

But how is that fair then Ripper, if the foul wasnt commited in the first place the keeper would have a decent chance of saving the shot etc. By stopping during your run-up the keeper will dive in one direction as he wouldnt be able to save it otherwise.

They already get an advantage by having a free shot from 12 yards!

Anyway...

""Feinting in the run-up to take a penalty kick to confuse opponents is permitted," said Fifa's Jerome Valcke.

I assumed that was what was being banned.

"However, feinting to kick the ball once the player has completed his run-up is now considered an infringement."

I have never seen any player feint to kick the ball after his run up sctatchinghead

Have you read the article? Your still allowed to stop/feint in your run up.

Think the law is aimed at the paradinha approach which is popular in Brazil. Goes way beyond a feint as this link shows-

Exactly, you can still feint in your run up as much as you like.

I demand an immediate Fifa investigation into when the run up ends and the kick begins.

I am prepared to head the team sorting this out. I'll need a large staff, lots of trips to Brazil, free food and drink and maybe some access to prostitutes. Anybody else keen to join my Legion of the Corrupt ?(I think that is the correct name for a Fifa working party).

Sorry forgot to mention the World Cup tickets, I'll need lots of them to sell to local touts in case I need some cash for an emergency trip outside the hospitality area.
