Pools have until the 26th April to respond. Does that mean we'll find out the punishment tomorrow?

Hopefully. I prey they dont make us wait until the season has ended, the sooner we can be certain of staying up the better

It means we have until tomorrow to give our excuses for the league to consider.
I suspect that the league will wait until next Monday
If we have won they will deduct the three irrelevant points,If we lose & other results go against us theyll be looking seriously at wether the 3 points are justified.

What is a 100% fact though is that I dont know & Im just guessing

HTH

That would suit us more if they wait until the end of the season..if we get 6 points from 6 in our last two games that is.

It could depend on what Pools response is.

A guilty plea may result in the punishment being handed out tomorrow.

If we ask for a personal hearing (which we are supposed to be doing) then the FA/FL will have to arrange a date for it being held. As this will involve witnesses being called, possibly even the referee from the orient game( Liddle's 10th booking) then it may well take until after the season officially closes. Though the FA/FL may rush the hearing through so any point deduction is handed out prior to the last game.

If we are asking for a personal hearing I can't see it being resolved tomorrow.

I dont think we will get docked 3 points. We beat them 2-0, who is to say we would have lost that game if Liddle didnt play? We could have won by more for all they know.

I know im probably alone on that count and will have no problem if they knock 3 points off us but it wouldnt surprise me if we lost just 2 points or even 1.

For once Tree I think you are completely wrong

If we dont at least get docked the three points then it sets a dangerous precedent. (Thats on the asumption that Pools are at least partly to blame for the mistake) The only way I can see us not getting docked all 3 points is if the FL/referee realise it was their mistake and in which case why should pools be penalised.

The outcome will depend on who was at fault (and whether our appeal may be deemed frivolous  )

The only certainty is that if Man U made the same mistake they would keep the 3 points.

Today is the day we submit our evidence as requested by FA. We have not appealed against an FA decision so we can't be accussed of being frivolous. Our case will presumably be heard at the next the next sitting of the FA Disciplinary Panel.

How about a 2 point deduction for us and award 1 point to Brighton, thus effectively rendering the match a draw in terms of points gained from the fixture. Highly unlikely I know but a good solution I feel.

Aparently we have pleaded guilty and accepted a 3 point deduction.

so it looks like weve lost 3 points rather than appeal for less. nice one chairman.

So you'd rather we appealed and risked getting an extra punishment? Best to accept the 3 points deduction we all expected and get on with beating Exeter on Saturday, then it will all be irrelavant.

I wonder if Norwich will be docked the 92 points they have gained since Lambert took over if they are found guilty of breaching Football League Reegulations

I'm just saying it's not worth the risk (this is the FA after all). There maybe financial penalties involved, who knows. It's just there are times you just have to accept the punishment and move on.

It will be irritating if three points are taken off us but I think we'll see Exeter off on Saturday thus rendering such action moot in terms of it pushing us towards relegation.

I doubt very much that when pools were charged, the league stated 'if you accept being guilty you'll be deducted 3 points' sctatchinghead

I am very much with Mr Groovy, the league will wait til the end of the season and give us a punishment that doesn't send us down :coool:

and I know this cos Chip told me and he is always right bbolt

Pools today admitted to the charge of playing an ineligible player and have asked for a personal hearing to explain their case. It was on the news. There was no mention of any agreed punishment.

According to the official site there are two hearings - one with the League next Tuesday followed by the FA on the Thursday. I wonder what their respective powers are?

I know it's not the same organisation but didn't Gateshead in the bsp get deducted 1 point per player for the same thing this season.ie a 2 point deduction?

Most probably the case - but the League are the ones that had the wrong information on their systems with Liddle on 8 yellow cards - so they might accept some mitigating circumstances.
