........I can't eat the pastry off the top of a Fray Bentos pie any more, surely one of lifes little luxuries, as it buckles me in two with indigestion. Thing is I really enjoy scraping the tin out, as all the best bits stick to the side.

Bastid..........and dont get me started on pickled onions......

Try getting gout, I can no longer eat things like liver, cheese and a great amount of spicey food anymore. Although since having gout I have lost a stone cutting these things out my diet and not drinking loads of beer, so every cloud.

Alopurinol all the way for me-at least i too have learned to control my weight and diet,so i wont ever turn into a fat knacker.

Gout curtailed my 'amateur' career on the rec at the tender age of 26,and has a lot to answer for-i always thought I would be kicking a pigs bladder about till either I dropped dead or suffered a broken leg. banghead

And i love marmite too, which is pure evil to gout sufferers lol

Having to cut down on certain food for various reasons. Such as cucumber is now horrendous for indigestion. However, scientists have discovered a food that puts women off sex; Wedding cake!

A word of warning though compo- any sort of alchohol or diuretic based drinks (anything containing caffeine for example-makes you wee more) and protein based foods are bad bad bad !
Ive just lost half a stone since going on a 'detox' which involved me eating soup, fruit and salads and lots of water after my most recent attack 4 weeks ago.......
I love a drink and my food as much as the next man,but moderation is the key.

could be worse suppose,i could be ginger.

bugger, just looked in the mirror lol rolfl

I think you get it from drinking booze straight from the bottle wrapped in a paper bag. Sitting by the war memorial is optional.

It's like having a permanent cramp-pain in your afflicted joint or limb, usually the foot, accompanied by a swelling, and is very painfull.

Dont forget to scrape the tin for the best bits. Burns off a few more of the calories prior to putting them back on.
