Credit to the Lads yesterday for a marginally better performance & credit to Turner for brining on Jones but still only a point & then only just.
Two points in the last possible eighteen. Not good enough is it. banghead

Given that most of the form tables are compiled over trends in the last six games , i.e. last six played ( home & away) last six played away & last six at home- this is how things stand:

Over the last six games played we're bottom of the whole form table. taz :uhoh:
Over the last six away games we're bottom of the away games form table. taz
Over our last six home games we're 15th in the home games form table.

We had back to back wins in Oct . In the 17 games since then we've won 3. rage

Shyte isn't it.

This form is taking us down if we don't reverse it bloody quick.

IOR should be setting targets for Turner if we've any hope of staying up. One game at a time isn't good enough.
Too short sighted & too shyte.

What were those golden rules of IOR?- don't get the club relegated etc.

It's looking like we'll be in the bottom four by the end of the month.

Will that wake IOR to getting rid of the Tubster. I fear not. banghead banghead

Come on Tubby prove me wrong & steer us into 20th place.

ADG- I did give them some credit-see above . The point is it was only a point & then only just .

We've managed back to back wins ONCE this season & our steady drop down the league has me mighty worried.

If some of those clubs with games in hand pick up points next weekend when we're not playing then we'll in even more trouble. We're not doing nearly enough to keep us out of the shyte.

At the moment we're relying on there being four clubs worse than us to keep us up.
I think there's only two- Stockport & the Trannies.

Start of a recovery?- Think you saw more in that performance than I did. Let's hope you're right.

exactly.

we've already started being more positive as fans in general, and the team looked like it too.

There are a number of people saying that it was only a point and we are doomed. There are also a number of people who have suddenly changed tune and seem to be now seeing us as a midtable side.

It probably was a good point mainly because with 2 minutes to go we were getting beat but over the full 90 mins that was a game which we could have got 3 points from, We didnt. Leeds didnt impress me. If we did not have turner in charge right now I would be confident of staying up, as any decent manager could get our side to pick up wins. We always have picked up the occasional good result under Turner which takes the heat off him, and will no doubt continue to do so but I do think some people confidence that the corner has been turned is a bit misguided. Until we string together some momentum the end of the season will be nailbiting.

I think many of us still have some niggling thoughts like that grave, and i can only speak for myself here, but I'm trying to cling to the positives and like dibble said earlier in the week I'm going to the game with the mindset of enjoying myself/taking off my critics hat and getting behind the lads!

It worked for me yesterday, and I would have been equally as positive if we hadn't equalised.

I dont think we'll be midtable and we wont be threatening the play offs, but avoiding relegation can be achieved if we all pull together.

It picks itself until Brown's fit doesn't it?

Agree nearly. Id pick that team but with one change, for me Behan isnt doing enough and id put Bjorrnson in there for him and tell the defenders "if you lump high balls to Bjorrnson them im subbing you off"

If we continue to play football like we did witrh Jones introduction then the ball to Bjorrnsons feets would be a big help. We need to tell Hartley and Collins to stop the long high balls, Gamble, Monky and Jones and even Austin will all be making themselves open for passes so there is no need for the hoofs. Pass it out of defence, get the ball moving quickly like we were and have Sweeney bombing on and we will have no problems imo.
