 banghead  banghead

I dont which of the above is apt.

The comments about the long balls suggest Turner is in dire need of therapy. Although correct, we have been telling him it since August. Staggered.

Turner must we winding us up...............surely. sctatchinghead

After watching the highlights, Pools looked a better outfit with the "new" system. Got to take chances though. Bristol had a couple more chances as well.
It looked to me that Rovers sat back a bit after scoring an early goal, surrendering possession to us, pity we didn't do more with it.
After the half time talk Rovers seemed to be in it more and Duffy gave us a lesson in taking chances.
We looked dodgy defending those right wing corners, we concede from one and got in a right mess from another.
Liddle's interception prevented a tap in and flinders saved well from Lines near the end.
It was a game that could have ended five apiece.
I am astounded that Byron Antony stayed on the pitch. That tackle on Jones was horrendous.

As for the system we are going to play, allegedly in the aftermath of the MK Dons debacle, the players decided that they would like to try 4-5-1, not the manager.
Management by committee now..................why not..............anything is an improvement on Management by Turner.

Its taken until January and a thumping from the Dongs for CT to try a different formation. Why has it taken this long? One thing we have lacked, unlike many of the teams we play against, is any ability to change our formation to counter the opposition formation. Lets hope we now have a plan A and a plan B and the nous to change from one to the other.

The thing is, if Turner is playing players thats arent up to scratch then it doesnt matter what formation you play, they will get found out eventually. It might work for a few games but then the weak links will become obvious again. Its a shame Humpty is one of them, considering how well hes served you over the last few years. I always thought of him as a Gabbiadini without the goals, good player but not always the best in front of goal.
