Its usually games like this when Pools do something you dont expect at all. You think they are beat before even kicking a ball but then produce something. But surely we cant at Charlton?

Either 5-0 or 1-2.

Charlton have defensive problems.

We HAVE to show an improvement at least in attitude and effort.

Defeats of that nature are normally followed by a much improved performance.

We should have Collins back.

I have NEVER predicted a defeat for Pools

Charlton 3-0 Pools sadx

Charlton are way too professional and Parkinson knows way too much for Turner!!
Easiest home win for them all season, even if Pools do improve greatly - it simply won't be enough as the side is lacking in ideas so much.

Plus the officials - don't forget that Pools are also playing 14 again tomorrow

I think we'll get routed, hope I'm wrong, but the Charlton scout must've had the easiest day out this season compiling a report on Saturday.

Maybe that was Turners plan to lull them into a false sense of security. bbolt

It might be an England score not a South African score so 0-1 after 1 minute with the overall score 1-1

we'll put in a much improved performance although that wont be hard to achieve but still lose 3-1 with Turner saying he was pleased with the lads character but you can't compete with clubs like "league one" Charlton. Then as we start to think we might pull off a result at Bristol on saturday the useless feckers will forget to turn up for a half as per usual and after taking a first half lead we'll lose 3-1 there too. Then we'll start repeating the set of postings from this week again saying CT out and predicting who will come in to replace him only to see us lose our next 5 games under his stewardship ( Gills (haven't won away so it will come at the vic), Norwich, Leeds (lost their game to a lowly side on saturday), Southampton and Huddersfield ) before something happens by which time the transfer window is closed, we are looking like a team of nervous knobheads who have never seen a ball before and sitting in the bottom four. Matty Robson will then torture us in the next game and then and only then will CT leave his current post and be moved upstairs.

The caretaker boss KH appoints will come from within, probably Barron and Humps who will see us fight harder but still not win enough games and we go down after a last day defeat when a win would have kept us alive. Sounds a bit familiar.

I simply have to get on Charlton tonight - 2/5 means a £50 bet gets me £20 for nowt!!!!
No point in betting on the other odds-on ones - nothing is so certain as Pools getting gubbed tonight!!!
We have the worst manager in professional football!!!

Let's face it. Turner has the luck of the Irish. He was lucky to get another job in football, he is lucky IOR love him and he has a track record of pulling a win when necessary.
Rotherham, like darlo, haven't played in about six weeks............could be tricky.
On paper both results look foregone conclusions but footy ain't played on paper.
A word of caution.

I've got greedy and went for Rangers as well as those two - but I only put £30 on at Corals
Only got evens for the 3 games - sh-it odds but I was already in there

I've also since realised Rangers was a Cup match and not a league match - could have a bearing on their team selection tonight!!! :uhoh:

no lose situation - if Pools get a result I'll be pleased and I lose my £30 but if they don't, there's a good chance I'll make a tidy little profit
obviously dependent on Rotherham and Rangers as well!!!

It all started with a bet on Charlton winning. If it had stopped there they would all be jingling their pockets.
Doubles trebles roll ups etc are there for the bookies. Not every time, but most times.
The lure of the big prize is usually the downfall.

Me dad used to ask...............how many people ever saw John Joyce taking his old bike on to seaton beach to gather five bags ( of seacoal for you younguns ).
