It's so all the kids can measure how many snowballs per square yard ( oops sorry, I meant metre) they can make.

We went metric decades ago.

Metric measurements are all that are taught in schools.

Metric measurements are all that are used in industry.

Inches are redundant and rightly so, the metric system is a much better system imo.

why is there 100p in a pound it should go back to the good old days. Also why do we have to get "pop" from the supermarket in my day we had a lemonade van, we would rush out with the empties and he would give us t'pence for each one :roll:

The only reason I use metric quotes is that I can't convert them back into proper measurements!

good tip for measuring length of smaller objects, measure things in mm that way the number looks bigger :wink:
